In a true tale of rags to riches, Marcelito Pomoy made his presence known here in America. This standout vocalist was first introduced when he won Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011. Known for his ability to sing in both the tenor and soprano register, he gained worldwide recognition for his unique talent. His appearance on America’s Got Talent since skyrocketed his superstar status and led to an abundance of new opportunities. Now, Marcelito hosts his own show while continuing to give back to his community.

in a shell…mother left when he was 2 yrs. old, father in jail so the siblings stayed in jail w father for 2 yrs. until he had them adopted by a policeman, but he left when he was 8 yrs. old and worked the streets as a vendor until he was 16 , until one day his father’s friend recognized him and introduced him to his father who was living a few km. away. His father told him the mother is in manila, so he went to manila 500 km away by boat, and went with an illegal recruiter. He worked in a poultry farm, in construction , until he joined the phil. got talent season 2 which he won! the whole family was there in the audience, the mom, 2 sisters, and brother, and the father. now he is married to joan who was his ardent supporter to join the AGT contest!

That was a very big mistake declining a one-year stint in Las Vegas. Other performers can only dream of getting such kind of offer. Wonder who was his manager at the time. Stupid move.
