  • Designed for the modern bass player, the Element 5OP 5-string bass will immediately become a favorite instrument in your collection - not just for its striking looks but its tone and playability. The Element 5OP's open pore grain finish preserves the natural acoustic properties of the sungkai wood body, resulting in a wider range of sustained frequencies and a stellar low-end. Its 35" maple neck and fingerboard provide a well-balanced feel and pinpoint articulation even on the low B string. The "C" neck profile features a satin finish for an extremely comfortable feel and easy lateral movement.
    The Element 5OP offers sonic flexibility without compromising authentic bass tone. For dialing up a broad range of sounds, it's equipped with two Rockfield single coil pickups, matched up with a 2-band EQ & preamp. If more of a vintage flavor is your preference, a push-pull switch bypasses the preamp and puts out a traditional passive tone. Between its gorgeous visuals and pristine low-end punch, the Element 5OP will be your go-to instrument on stage, at practice or in the studio.

    Squire is outclassed by many manufacturers. This is an example of an instrument that blows Squires away. Great review!

    I'm impressed! I'd give one a go. If they're saving money on house brand hardware and electronics but the body and neck are solid.. I have no complaints. Chances are I'd just swap those to taste anyway..

    Just got one. Wasn't even planning on getting it but went to the store and the Sterlings and Squires couldn't even come close. Really surprising find and happy I got it! Only downside I'd say is that the finish is kinda cheesy up close (I don't think it's wood grain looks way more like a dip to me) and the head stock decal could use a redesign but besides that it's great!

    I tryed this bass out at Sam Ash also today. Im torn between this one and the sunburst 4 string. Beast!!!!!!!!!! “Squire” sucks, thankfully I found the Micheal Kelly brand today and now Im on the hunt for it. Great basses, you can’t go wrong here!!!!

  • @bnutz3k

    The Yamaha BB434/5 is my #1 choice at that price point.

    • @bnutz3k
      @bnutz3k 2 года назад +1

      I also think it really depends on the price you can actually get a bass for. Sure, that bass is likely higher quality than a CV, but what if you got that CV for $380? Any midrange pickups you want and still less than the Kelly... which... to be fair, could also be had for less than MSRP.
      Not knocking your coverage. Appreciate someone taking the time to show us these instruments and share their thoughts on em, so thanks for that!

      The 435 is technically $579.99 so slightly above the $500 mark but I agree that those are also great basses. I’ll try to get one on the channel soon

  • @chipmuellemann7901
    @chipmuellemann7901 Год назад

    I just bought one of these and it's going right back. I stopped counting at 6 bad (high) frets. On every video you can find on this bass you can hear the buzz. You'd need a complete fret leveling to fix this. The action/string height was set a bit higher than 2mm to hide the buzz but that not only did not work but rendered this unplayable. When I engaged the push/pull active knob it was so noisy as to be totally unusable. Now let's talk about that neck. Absolutely the widest neck on any fiver I have ever had. Ridiculously so. Knock Squier all you want. I have had several of them and all beat this bass when it comes to quality and function. I had high hopes for the Michael Kelly. No Daisy at all!
