Firstly thanks for the dedicated burn content, always appreciated! I'm a long time legacy and pauper burn player and from time to time I jump to modern burn. I just never liked how modern burn plays out, stock list is messy and all over the place. First of all we are running too many 2 drops, and most of them are situational. It is not that eidolon is that awful in the meta, but vortex is just much better vs cascade decks, and we can't afford to run both. Splitting is just bad imo because we are not maximizing the chance to punish cascade decks with vortex. People could argue that eidolon is good vs cascade as well but it is not, it not punishing enough and does not give us the chance to race them. Doubling down vs cascade decks we want some amount of chalices in the board. We should focus on that mu because it is actually beatable and it is top of the meta in win percentage and representation. I thought about play with fire a lot and I like it as a 4 of as an idea to play less lands in deck. Because in theory it allows you to keep more 1 landers, so you can scry the top. And in my opinion best 1 cost burn spell after the Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning in any format is Seal of Fire. It allows us so much flexibility and control with less commitment. I am currently testing it in a stock modern boros burn list -2 Skullcrack, -2 Helix in favor of 4 Seal of Fire and I am pretty satisfied with its performance.
I appreciate the feedback and took some of it to heart in the latest video. Testing was a bit mixed, but lowering the curve might the be right idea in some regards. I have played seal and think it has some utility. Though I think it was better in Lurrus and Incinerator shells. Personally, I think play with fire has the highest upside of the other one drops, though it's still okish.

umm ok...
