What a fun video! Loved all of the banter between you and Trixie. You two covered so much in this and you look so amazing in that hair!! Yes drag has changed so much over the years. It's an entirely different ball game now (no pun intended. lol).
When I first started performing entertainers were still using record albums believe it or not. And there wasn't always a booth. Sometimes all we had was a folding table offstage with a record player. Heaven help us if someone walked too close to the table causing the record needle to skip I progressed to cassette tapes to CDs to flash drives. With the group of seasoned entertainers I work with now no one else has moved on to flash drives and those are SO much easier for everyone involved.
Doing pageant has been such a great learning express. A performer learns so much so quickly doing competitions and getting notes from the judges (as well as other entertainers). It's like "Drag U". We had to drive all over the place looking for music, shopping for makeup, wigs, accessories and fabric to make our own outfits. It truly was a full-time job all on it's own. Now people can do it all from their home. Anyone can learn how to do everything all off of the internet and not have to figure it all out on their own as they go along. And you provide such a helpful service to the entertainment community of every age group. I don't think new performers realize just how good they have it now.
Jaymes, I truly appreciate the vast knowledge you share with everyone. You have such an outstanding reserve of information on so many different subjects that are all relevant to today's performers. For someone of your youthful age to have all of that history is so refreshing!!
