I'm a fan of Aesop. Try their famous parsley seed serum. It's very good. My favorite are hand soap and hand cream. Their mouthwash and toothpaste are good too.
I think I agree on Nigel on how to talk to your parents. Asian parents don't say things directly. Of course,the tone would always contribute how they perceive you. I do that also subconsciously especially when I'm stressed with things to do. I forget how to phrase the words. We would get into an argument. I would just take a few minutes to think before taking to them.
Places like Jo Malone/White Company/Rituals are good for the home products/fragrances too, maybe they’ll have some nice soaps or scents you can use in the different rooms :) Also the Made .com showroom near Soho/TCR has some nice furniture decor/inspiration too if you like that type of style :)

Midway thru your podcast today I decided to make a note of how often adverts were appearing. There were adverts at the 39:22 minute mark, then 42:53, then 47:46 and 51:49. I don't object to ads, but one every four minutes disrupts the rhythm of your conversations.
