Get your ecu checked I had a diagnostic test done went to Holden for the original part and it fixed the problem got my car back good as new cost a bit though

Well i think my problem with spanner is that is not coming on AT ALL i mean not even when i turn the key to the first position.I have run all the tests with obd scanner tools no errors stored .The car is astra 1.7 cdti Z17DTR engine

For me spanner light is on during ignition and goes off after starting the engine. But it again comes as soon as I switch on the air conditioner. I am not understanding what to do. Please help me with this.

I know this video is really old but I currently have this issue on my 2005 1.6 sxi Astra but it's being really strange as sometimes the car won't start then after a few attempts it's starts and this light goes of and the engine management light comes on and there's a clicking sound coming from behind the Speedo any ideas
I've got an astra h mk5 (150). This happened to me when when my turbo was kicking in then it went limp. Pulled in, and found no errors. The light went off and hasn't happend since. It was just recently out the garage from getting the front wheel bearings and drop links replaced. But a duno how that would cause it do that. It doesn't need serviced either, it's been recently done.
What if it comes on while driving and goes into limp mode any ideas on what it could be so I can check before I have to resort to a garage ?

I have a 2003 holden astra doing the same stupid thing I had a diagnostic test the other day and its the ecu thing acting up which is attached to the motor which is dumb and its making the unit warm I expected better from Holden putting the unit in a spot like this
Hi I have a 4th scenario. I have a 2009 Corsa 1.3Cdti ecoflex. Recently had the subframe replaced. My car with spanner light comes on intermittently a few minutes into driving. But not all of the time. Only happened since the subframe job. Once I turn the car off and back on again it either goes and doesn’t come back for a few days or stays on.
I have videoed the code I’m getting which I can post to my channel as I can’t work it out.
I’ve also noticed that my fuel consumption has been rubbish lately. Since all this started.

I have a Astra 59 plate 1.3 diesel but doesn't stay on just starts at 1,000 revs then drops and cuts off even if I hold the accelerator down. UPDATE: was just the EGR that needed changing.

Fathi Hassan update found out it was just the EGR that needed changing it's all working now
spanner light on and engine when start is not work even - 98% is glow plugs, worth checked with multimeter
My light comes on after a few minutes of driving. Still a glow plug issue, you think?
It comes on and off for me when driving normally when slowing down

My 2006 vauxhall astra h has just had a service recently then my dad parked it and the battery went flat so I changed it up started the car up and the light is on the dash

i have fourth problem: the light is blinking and the car won't start (it worked this morning and it wasn't blinking)
I found solution for my problem, somehow the chip inside my key god scrambled when i was changing battery, the car started fine when i used reserve key.....

I had the situation number 3. Did the pedal test trick and I got no error codes. I now don’t have that light after I restarted the engine. Happened to me two times now.
There is a fourth one also, the light only comes on after five minutes
When the light come on for me the engine idles really loud for couple minutes then goes back to normal

Hi, I have Opel Astra 1,7 CDTi 04. Have problem with spanner warning light turning on during driving on open road after 30-40 minutes, and when it turns on car starts loosing power. Is this some major problem? In service they say no errors read when they connect to computer. any advise?

It can be the EGR block (Vanne EGR) or throttles body (Boitier papillon)....(sorry for my english i m french)

the spanner on the car comes to my dash board when i am reversing, can somebody help me and also when the car station for long at the traffic light, the car moves very slow
in mine the same symptom. Finally i removed the accelerator pedal by three screws after that i disassembled the pedal itself by 5 screws on it and did a full clean by a contact cleaner. After that the spanner light gone. Total cost 3.9 euro the contact cleaner
My light comes on and now and again the power cuts off, have to restart the car. Read the error codes out with Torque and an OBD2 blue tooth thing, no error codes.
The same light has come up on mine and stays on. Also getting eeror code 059761 any ideas?

Happened approx after 1km driving, when the motor stopped. Since then lights are on and not starting at all, no error code is shown with pedal test
I removed the accelerator pedal(opel corsa c) by three screws after that disassembled the pedal itself by 5 screws on it and doing a full clean by a contact cleaner. Raise a bit the contacts for better touch After that the spanner light gone. Total cost 3.9 euro the contact cleaner.
Thanks I did change the egr valve and the spanner sign gone off but I hv noticed between 2000and to 3000 rpm there is slight rev loss it is in 2nd gear mostly any idea abt that mate

Hey Nice video, I have situation 4: When i turn ignition on spanner light comes and and go off and then come back on again. Once i start the engine it goes off permanently. (Sometimes it is on after engine start too) I have check with my OBD2 with torque app but there is no logged fault. Any suggestion please.

Hello, Get it checked on Maruti Suzuki service center, Fortunately the spanner light was on that time, i asked them to check with their Suzuki diagnostic tool, found glow plug fault. Then they checked each glow plug by using a wire from battery terminal to glow plug, One is faulty out of four where there is no spark while touching wire on it. Get it replaced and now everything is fine. Hope this help. Sorry for my bad english.
