I have played it both up and down. I like both ways but with beginners and many adults, I tend to teach it down as it’s much easier technically to hold on low A of Toars than to spring right off the low A to the higher note.
Hello brother Robertson! I just wanted to know if we had our own certain clan song? I am getting ready for my funeral and my grandmother was a Gordon and their famous hit was "When the battle is over" by The Gordon Highlanders. Is there any exclusively Robertson/Donnachie songs that any one knows of?
Ah this is Bruce Gandy. But he’s playing a piobaireachd (“pea-brock”) called Struan Robertson’s salute. Piobaireachd is the traditional music of the highland bagpipe, and Bruce is a pro! Pretty rad, eh?
Hi, What mic are you using to record? You r drone sound is pretty constant wherver you are. When I record and move about my level dips in and out terribly :)
Beautifully played. Justice to a great tune. Thank you
Thanks very much!
Very nicely played. Thoroughly enjoyed the tune.
Thank you
It is interesting to hear it played Down like this, Bruce!
