It's a decent quality bike and it looks in really nice condition. I'm 6ft 2 as well and I need a 25 inch frame, on a road bike at least. I hope you get a good price for it. There's a good FB page for selling traditional bikes.
It is a lovely bike. Ah right, I don't know what my frame size is in inches, my new road bike is a 60 cm frame, I ordered that size after looking on a size guide on Evan's cycles. Thank you very much :) What is the name of the page?
I have one for sale. Salinas Ca
This is the one i had in 1981, before thatni had a Stratos, and before that a mk1 blue Grifter!!
Hi! I bought a raleigh too! In worst conditions like your´s, i´m Uruguayan and i´m really interested on your bike. Im trying to rebuilt my raleigh with original pieces but is very dificult! Congrats for that beautiful bike and if u want to sell it remember me hehehe!
Hi there, congrats on the new project :) I wish you all the best with it :) Ah I'm sorry man I sold this bike a year ago :(
I had one but mine had gold brakes and leavers great looking bikes
My apologies for the slow reply, I think the model year 1983 onwards had the gold brakes, that was what I had been looking for when I bought this one. It was a fantastic bike :)
Nice, I bought one of these in 1981 it cost me £99.99p
I would be interested in it wen you come to sell it what size is the frame
I have it advertised on gumtree at the moment, I shall take some measurements when I go to my garage later.
Ok cool let me no
My apologies for the slow reply, from the bottom bracket shell to the top of the seat tube is 57 cm. I looked on a website that advised measuring from the centre of the crank axle to the top of the seat tube, this measurement is around 59 cm, I would go with the measurement of 57 cm as I have a road bike I know to be a 60 cm frame, and that fits me much better.
The nicest bike you ever bought and your selling it . Ok
Haha I know it sounds strange, but it's just too small for me, and now surplus to requirements. I really meant I have bought and sold a lot of old bikes over the years, and this has been the best condition when I bought it, I have a few bikes that were tatty when I bought them, and I have made them nice, but this one was already nice :)
My thoughts exactly.
- I do like that speedo
It was a really cool feature, hoping to find another speedo like that for my Trent Tourist when I do it up :)
Oh I see . Nosey begger arnt I . 👍
