Welcome to Day 35 - the 7th and last day of the 5th week. It is the end of the fifth week. Genesis 35 is a record of things that ended abruptly in Jacob's life. He buried 3 people here - Deborah, Rachel and Isaac. His last child was born here. His change of name was reiterated here. Reuben's first-born status ended here - for sleeping with his father's concubine. Jacob's active story-line ended here. From this point, he was no longer the major character in the story.
