- Today I'll be reviewing the new Physicians Formula 2024 Makeup Collection that just launched this week. It seems like they have a lot of dupes and I'll be revealing whether I think they're actually dupes or just similar products. I'd love to hear your thoughts down below in the comment section!

Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. *Thank you for all of the concern about my hands and the suggestions on products. The reason they look really rough and dry right now is because we've had a lot of sickness in the house...my husband and I had C*&id a few weeks ago and now my son has it. So I've been washing my hands like crazy, and no lotion or product can keep up with it at the moment, haha.*
Jen!, have you tried Working Hands by Okeefe? It works for me - hope you get that chafing under control. There is also a Bert’s Bees Hand cream- smaller pot but I have used this on my hands and feet 🦶💐♥️

Yes! Exactly. There have been a handful of products that ive seen on tiktok and when i go to try its a fricken glitter bomb! Im like...why was this not mentioned?? And whos into this??? 😂 so i appreciate the details about glitter too!

I’m sooo glad you mentioned carmine as an ingredient! I’m severely allergic to it and my eyes swell shut within 20 minutes!
Physicians Formula has been a huge disappointment for me for years. I'm probably quite a bit older than most of your followers, so I feel the need to ignore what their name implies. I've had sensitive skin for decades, and I avoid fragrance and ingredients known to negatively impact sensitive skin. Great review as always, Jen! XO ❤️
I agree...they've been more misses than hits for me over the years. I started using them back in the 90's and I always felt like the claims on the products were over-exaggerated and left me feeling underwhelmed. That being said, I have found some gems in the line that I really love. But it's a brand that is very mixed for me.
Yes, they lost me when they started putting fragrance in their products. Also, they discontinued their matte eyeshadow palettes. Too bad!

Hi Jen! Thank you for another great review! My girls get dry skin patches on them. Almost like eczema. I started mixing organic castor oil in their sensitive baby lotion and within a few days all of the dry patches were gone! Castor oil is wonderful for the skin. 😊
I'm in my 60s and love castor oil for my skin, I mix it with vitamin E oil and glycerin, it is incredible for fine lines, sometimes I put vaseline over the top as well.

The bronzing drops look fantastic on your face! Very natural.
I think my best bet is going to be the lip glosses! They look and sound awesome. I think I'll give the BB cream a miss. Sparkle foundation isn't my favorite. Thanks Jen!!!
Jen! So happy you’re back! Hope hubby and son are well! I had to pick up a prescription in cvs and looked at the PF area. Zip nothing to show at all! I saw the Cover Girl Foundation at Ulta- I think the price is crazy $21 - we are out of drugstore territory 😊 There is one powder that I have loved for years- it Pformula / Happy Booster (lol) in natural. This gives a very satin finish to the skin/ no glitter.

Physicians Formula seems to have a pretty good formula, but their shade range leaves a lot to be desired.

i’ve actually never tried physician’s formula. i loveeee that you said “go ham”, because i feel like i’m the only one that still says it. i think the liquid blushes look the same. the bronzer looks pretty, but i love my milani cream bronzer. i do want to try the brazilian berry and beached bronze lip glosses!!! they just need to expand their shade range. thank you for your ALWAYS TRULY HONEST reviews!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Can't wait to try those bronze drops, and the glosses ❤ PF Dream Team face palette has been my go to lately...LOVE the scent, and it's a really good price for 6 pans of their face products. At the time I bought it, it was $14.99. The highlight in the palette is a bit dark for me, but I don't mind, I wear it as eyeshadow 😅 Regarding the shade range for foundations and face products...maybe their demographic is only certain skin tones, and if they made anything outside of what their current offering is, they wouldn't make money from adding addl shades. Whenever I hear people complain about the shade ranges, this is what I think of. Maybe they would lose money by expanding their range, which would be pointless in spending the time and money for the addl shades on products that wouldn't sell. I've noticed this in other drugstore brands that included super dark foundations..most times, I'm seeing all the lighter shades sold out, and the darker shades still in stock. Just my theory, and what I've noticed.

I love Physician’s Formula, especially their blushes and bronzers, and what I’ve tried from both their Butter and Diamond lines have been good so far. I love brow lift clear gels, and the MuruMuru Brazilian Brow Lift is pretty great!

So happy to see your latest video! I love the Physicians Formula liquid lip products, but it looks like they're all being phased out. I ordered from them recently and I also got my order in 2 day somehow, which is unheard of where I live!

Thank you for calling out the carmine ingredient in the PF foundation! I have a reaction to carmine in eye makeup, so I definitely want to stay away from anything from anything that has it in a foundation.
Thank you SOOOO MUCH for always letting us know the fragrance added or the general scent that products have. That's a HUGE consideration for me as I'm super sensitive to different scents. 😊

If you live near an Aldi and you are looking some A Grade/S-Tier/Top Notch dupes for Tarte, Benefit, and Urban Decay, try your luck.
Look for the brand _LACURA_ - they have dupes for Tarte's shape tape concealer (all of 8 shades tho -_-), Benefit's matte bronzer powder, Benefit's cookie highlighter, and Urban Decay's OG Naked Palettes - Naked 2, Naked 3, Smokey, and Honey are floating out there.
The concealer is full coverage and sets well with powder and the _LACURA_ palettes are amazingly similar to the Urban Decay palettes - on the sheerer side, but I'm really happy with the looks I've created. Plus, the double-ended brushes in the palettes are actually quite good!
It really depends on the Aldi and when you go. One near me had just about everything in stock, while one a bit further away had all the concealers picked through but the full section of eyeshadow palettes. Happy hunting!
And just about everything is like $5.99 or $6.99 so yeah, crazy inexpensive for an excellent dupes.
I do have an Aldi near me but didn't see Lacura in store. It was a while ago though so I'll have to check back!

I love the PF perfector in the tube, so when I saw the word "perfector", I thought it might be a variant of the tube version and I almost ordered it! Thanks for showing us that its not even close. I wonder if carmine is the coloring agent for warmth? Your reviews are so informative! ❤
I thought the same thing...it could be to add a little red or orange to the formula.
Thank you for reviewing all of these new PF products. They're more on the pricier side of drugstore, so it is nice to see what they are like before venturing to purchase.
Off topic: I recently "discovered" Bag Balm and I have been applying to my hands and feet and they have healed tremendously! The winter weather has been brutal for my hands, I wash them a lot. Have you tried Bag Balm, Jen? ❤
A long time ago! I can't remember if it helped but I remember it being kind of greasy so I could only use it at night. 😊
Been waiting for this review since your short! PF usually does powders really well. Wish someone would get on board to steer PF in a better direction with expanded shade range & less bulky packaging.
I’m excited to try the lip balm!! My lips get so dry this time of year. I love how the bronzer looked on you too, I think those are the two I’ll try from this launch.

I always wonder if the Flower Beauty bronze drops are a dupe for the Drunk Elephant ones.
😂😂😂..your face before putting on the bronzing drops... it was "OMG!! Here goes nothing!!" And then when it looked to blend out quite nicely, i felt your relief come through the screen!!!😂😂👍👍👍❤️

I'm glad I have fair skin because ELF's lightest shade is actually contour! I just wish it was in different packaging because I strongly dislike the messy sponge tip applicator that have become popular somehow...

The thing that turns me away from PF products is the scent of all the "Butter" products- it absolutely nauseates me. Too bad, because some of the products are otherwise lovely. It's beyond me why they continue to drench everything in that scent.
I agree...it was fine for the original bronzer but I don't see why it has to be in things like the color correctors! And I like the scent but it's too much.

I’ve been waiting for this review!! ❤ Everyone else I saw review this collection also said the order came in like 2 days! That’s great shipping! I hate when they put glitter in things! I’m also guessing it’s the Diamond powder. So glad you always mention when things have glitter because I hate glitter on my face! 😂 I usually like PF bronzer blush combos because usually they don’t lean too warm with the pink shade, but the one from this collection definitely looks too warm for me!

Hi Jen. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. I'm hoping to be helpful if you haven't tried this before. I noticed your poor dry hands and thought that castor oil might help with dryness. It's old fashion and a thick oil but might help. Love your videos. Take care ❤

I saw your short on these products and went right to the website. I felt really disappointed with what I saw. The blushes looked like the same colors, when you held them up not so much but on your face, exactly the same. I felt like three of the products duplicated themselves, bronzer drops, the multi use product and the bronzer. I think if I purchase anything, and you can get so many other products at other indie brands that are tried, true and way cheaper, it might be the drops, one blush and the lip products. Far less than I started out with when I was browsing and felt disappointed and said..."I am waiting to hear what JEN SAYS". I am so glad I did. Thank you for being so real with us. You save us time, money and give us such great company. I know that being sick in bed for so long I need company and I adore you and think of you as a friend. Take good and gentle care of your self. 🤗

Thank you for your reviews.. I find putting cream or liquid products on the back of my hand than blend pick up the product with a brush and it will go on smoother and you can control the application better.

The fact that a physician’s formula has been around for so long (at least two decades that I’ve seen them), but they still haven’t improved their shade range, makes me think that they don’t care to. That, in turn, makes me not want to purchase from them.
I would love to have the cream bronzer when they are available in Shoppers.

PF....I have never been able to use due to high fragrance. Though they came out like Almay Cosmetics addressing Sensitive Skin.
