- Asia has announced The Heat of The Moment Tour, with a new lineup that includes original keyboardist Geoff Downes, drummer Virgil Donatti (UK, Southern Sons, Steve Vai, Allan Holdsworth), guitarist John Mitchell (Frost, Lonely Robot) and bassist/vocalist Harry Whitley. Here we talk with John Mitchell and Harry Whitley about the new tour and how they got involved.
The tour headlined by Asia, featuring Focus, Martin Turner ex Wishbone Ash and Curved Air and MC’d by artist Roger Dean will commence on 3rd July 2024 and incorporate 21 dates across the USA and Canada.

Me too! Although I would have to personally put Fragile in my #1 spot. I've loved Drama from the day I first heard it when it was released in summer of 1980. Fantastic hard hitting progressive album. That lineup changed Yes for the better in a time where classic prog was not nearly as popular as it once was. The following album went way down the pop road, but it was ok.
Actually it's pretty hard to get back into the US even as an American. The only people who get in easy are the criminals stampeding the border.
Most gigging musicians will tell you the most important part of the gig is “the hang.” These guys show it’s a real band. They are having a blast and enjoy each others company. Congrats

Saw these guys in Huntington New York - very impressed by Harry, and John was excellent as well. Also have to say that Focus played an amazing set.
John Mitchell is such an amazing musician! And so funny as well.
I'd rather see John Mitchell involved with John Beck and Bob Dalton in a new It Bites album again.
