That's cause they rarely make something this good... I fired one last week. My buddy grabbed one. It's legit. The only thing it could use is the Apex trigger; but otherwise its damn near perfect. Honestly though the stock trigger is fine. This is the best semi-auto pistol they have ever made IMO...
@@bobbyraejohnson I personally have never bought their brand even though I like their products.. and as an FFL the only time I saw them sell is to a few clients at model release. They stay on the shelf a LONG time. We had to place them all on fire sale to move. SIG, HK, Glock, Staccato, they move.
Good evening, Justin and family. 💪🇺🇸🍻. See, you got ahold of one. I know I love mine. Shooting great so far. Now I'd like to see your friends at Talon Grips offer a slide grip kit for the carry comp. That be cool, and mostly needed when having sweaty hands when racking the slide. I know I have talon slide kits on all my pistols. It. Helps! Big time
I have watched several of your reviews and have been impressed with all of your work. Keep up the great work. I purchased a polymer version and haven’t had a chance to test it yet. The polymer was about $200.00 less than the metal one. I wasn’t aware that the metal one existed, and the gun shop didn’t have one anyway. I love the trigger and the sights. I’m not sure if I will install a red dot or not. I probably will because I shoot PPC matches and they started allowing them in the Service class. I ordered three more magazines so, I’m pretty sure that I will. Once again, keep up the good work.
I've been a Glock fan since the early 2000s. I gave my G19G4 to my son inlaw for his birthday. I was looking for a replacement and decided I tried a Smith&Wesson 2.0 COMPACT FDE OPTICS READY. I'm truly impressed! Butter smooth, and I shoot very with it at self defense ranges. I guess next I'll look at a replacement for my favorite CCW G26G4 😅
You won't be disappointed with an M&P Shield Plus. The most shootable of the micro compacts, almost feels like a full size under recoil. Holds 12 rounds in 9. The entire M&P line is great. The 5inch long slide is my favorite.
The metal version is not for me, but I do like the other two carry comp. versions that S&W just released. S&W is raising the bar for sure, beyond cosmetics. Functional works of art. The only reason I will be passing is they do not have a manual safety option available. Just my preference. Hopefully this will become a future option.
i have one and I love it. The only "problem" I found with mine was the front sight was a little left of center. I adjusted it and now is a sweet running monster. I'm trying to decide what red dot to try on it.
Excellent review, as always! Superb shooting! I'm glad you did the comparison with the Metal. I wondered after picking up the Metal if they would follow with a Performance Center version. The Metal outshoots my other pistols including the 19x!
Great video. Been looking at this weapon and I do seem to shoot the Smith M & P better than most firearms, which is an oddity for me as I have carried Glock's the entirety of my time with the PJ's and also in law enforcement. Think I am going to pull the trigger on this one and give it a whirl.
Justin, I am glad S&W didn’t lose your number. You just sold one to me after watching your great review. I will wait until Sig finds your number before I buy another Sig.👍
Been watching a lot of pistol videos this month as I'm in the market, and you're one of the only shooters I've seen that gets the reset done during recoil to prep for the next shot. Most shooters hold the trigger at the rear and then do a quick reset and break in one action. Just curious if you have taken the Op Spec - Practical Fundamentals course? (it's where I learned that technique) Oh, and great review of a pistol I've been considering. I've also been curious about the Mantis device...interesting.
Good video sir. Oh and I have never had very good luck with any of 9mm , 300 blk and 556 from ammo Inc. Can't say for any other calibers . Those are the ones I've had issues with.
Hello, My name is Juan from Miami Florida, new on this channell, very very good content my friend, are you planning to do a review of M&P Shield Plus Carry Comp?
Its horribly oversprung. It's actually a horrible piece overall in nearly every way. Getting rid of mine ASAP after 1 day of ownership. Buying the vastly superior Springfield Echelon Comp instead like I should've in the first place.
S&W to me, is like Gerber knives. They just don't grab me. There's always another competitive option I would choose instead. I would pay $1000 for an all metal Smith if it was DA/SA hammer fire. 15 round mag and 4" barrel. S&W abandoned us DA/SA guys so I'll continue to support their competition
S&W quality not what it was. Performance Center EZ 9mm Never made it through the 2nd magazine. Back for repair. Bodyguard 2.0, 70 frustrating rounds, uncommanded magazine elections and stove pipes. Back for repair. Think twice my friends.
That's a good looking pistol. I've never watched any of your content, so at around 3:22-3:25, I was thinking 'this guy ghetto/gangsta shoots. I'm so glad to see that not happen, that would've been an instant' stop video, scratch the host' moment.
I have a weird sense of humor and don't mind looking stupid at times, but I do try to delivery legitimately good information and knowledge. Thanks for the comment!
S&W is making some fantastic products for the price
You Sir are a Breath of fresh air to this senior.....thanks for your down to earth manner and knowledge of what you present to us...
So nice of you to say. I try to just deliver good information and visuals, and not take myself seriously.
Yes! Looking forward to this! Also, polymer version and shield + PC comp please! 🙏🏼
S&W doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
Really? Who’s not giving them attention? I’ve seen this gun everywhere.

It's because the grip is mediocre. That's literally it it's a great gun reliability wise, the grip looks like a soda can got sat on
No safety! Hallelujah!
I hope this style of slide serrations makes it to other M&P pistols.
S & W outdid themselves on this one!!!!! IMO AWESOME PISTOL
Appreciate your calm assessment of reviews!
Great review as always
M&P really have hit the mark with these latest models
Thanks!
Thank YOU. Happy that you enjoyed it!
Great review! I love the addition of the Mantis info to track the muzzle rise and recovery. Thanks for your dedication, sir!
My 2.0 pro ported will dirty the front sight quickly. Glad they solved this little issue.

Nice use of the Mantis. Might be cool to see comparative results using a bench rest.
Just bought this gun to have a second fighting pistol to go along with my PDP Pro Compact…I love this pistol….it will become my go to
I like this channel because you shout without a light on it. Showing it in the nice and not dressed up makes a difference to me
Excellent!!
I own a LE 2.0 .40 and LE 2.0 9mm in the 3.6 size. The whole M&P line simply delivers👍

Really great video. complete review of very nice handgun.Take care!
Thanks 👍

Just saying Hey from the Helderberg mountains of New York State..love your reviews

I went with polymer shoots great, but this aluminum looks finished overall for 2.0.

s and w making awsome Guns the work and look GREAT!!!
I would love to see how this model with apex trigger compares to a staccato c for example
Nice Review. I like that pistol.
Justin is like the Bob Ross of firearm videos. If you know, you know ;)
What sights do you have on the ported one?
Think the Metal Carry Comp will be my next pistol.
Sweet Smith
Sig 365 fuse has a better slide cuts. And I’m sure they are n the way with the comped version.
Nice looking, but they make too many models and it’s like a new gun of the month club😳😳
Trying to keep up with SIG almost demands that. Nobody has more SKUs than those guys! But in the end, choices are good and a win for the consumer.
@@JustinOpinionChannel good point,,,great job on the reviews,,,Thanks!
Seriously!
FYI, That flyer on the orange dot segment even sounded funny, maybe it was just the camera and mic.
Yeah, that was just weird. It landed about 4" high.
Hello, My name is Juan from Miami Florida, new on this channell, very very good content my friend, are you planning to do a review of M&P Shield Plus Carry Comp?
Eventually, I hope to. Thanks for tuning in!!
tell me the glasses, i see theyre dillon but cant find the model
I'm not even sure. I bought them years ago at Dillon in Scottsdale. They might not have the same style any more.
@JustinOpinionChannel they don't unfortunately
All my M&Ps are pretty awesome. They destroy Glocks!
It kinda look snappy.
Its horribly oversprung. It's actually a horrible piece overall in nearly every way. Getting rid of mine ASAP after 1 day of ownership. Buying the vastly superior Springfield Echelon Comp instead like I should've in the first place.
The metal frame makes it more expensive for no practical reason. It weighs the same and transmits recoil more.
The Holosun SCS MP2
Doesn’t need any plate.
What an awesome looking pistol! Too bad I'll never own one, because the're QC has burned me enough that I'll never buy from S&W.
THEIR FFS
The Canik TTi Combat and the SW Carry Comp don’t do much as aftermarket comps/ports.
Wrong
JO your reviews are top notch, but that M&P is no bueno to my eyes 😂
I just don’t understand why S&W do weird slide serrations.
Science
What’s weird about them?
Now if a company would come out with a pistol ported similar to how Monsoon Tactical does their "lucky 7's", id be all over it!
Too big for edc.
Too light for competition.
Goes to show, there is no such thing as a perfect gun!..
No safety!…. Hallelujah!
S&W quality not what it was. Performance Center EZ 9mm
