    The end of a project years in planning, months in execution. So many hundreds of people involved, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people who have supported it via their viewership and donations - it’s a wonderful thing to see so much support for preserving our history.

    Maybe soon I'll make my way to see her and running out of time.😅 I was so close to seeing her but was there in Orange County New Jersey restoring the power grid after Super Storm Sandy. Funny thing is I came from Orange County Texas and was there for 17 days but when your in storm restoration mode you're exhausted from long days of grinding but I made a lot of people happy when the lights came on and will never forget the good people that treated us like family. They overwhelmed us with food and kindness. The City gave us a Coin and said if we ever wanted to come back we were welcome to❣️❣️❣️ If in when where would be a great hotel to stay in??? We stayed in the Bogata Hotel while we were there and it was awesome. Im retired now and 65 years old but I would very much like to see her❤❤❤

    Did work get done on the cathodic protection at the berth while the ship was away? I remember a video where Ryan said that had nearly wasted away, and it seems to be well worth the money as none of the anodes on the ship had suffered damage.

    • @fyrman9092
      @fyrman9092 2 месяца назад

      Yes, the zinc nodes were replaced with aluminum because the ship is in mostly fresh water (Aluminum) than salt water (Zinc). The mounting studs were cut off, replaced, taped over during painting and then the nodes were installed

    • @R.J._Lewis
      @R.J._Lewis 2 месяца назад

      No, I meant the protection that they have at her home berth. They have some sort of large cathodic anode in the river that's not directly attached to the hull, I can't remember what Ryan called it. But in a video about the anodes on the ship being replaced exactly like you're talking about, he mentioned some cathodic protection system on the riverbed underneath the ship when it's at their home pier.
