Haisai! I was sifting through some videos to make Sata andagi and came across yours. It made me think of my late obaachan and ended up bursting in tears. Thanks so much for posting this video!
Haitai! I'm sorry to hear about your obaachan 😢 I think spending time and creating these special memories are important. Thank you for the kind comment! にふぇーでーびる
I didn't understand a word she said, but I know looking at her look at you, she reminds me of the way my granny used to look at me with such love. She served me chicken 'n dumplings, a good Kentucky recipe at that, her being a Kentucky girl, the last time I saw her. Sadly, she passed not all that long after. I can see the love she has for you. I am glad you made many happy memories that day.
Andagi is so very tasty and if you sprinkle it or roll it in some cinnamon sugar it taste even better!...then go for the killer dessert......split the andagi in quarters and in a bowl, put a huge scoop of ice cream and top off with whipped cream!...it's the bomb!
I’m sorry I’m not familiar with this but thrilled to learn about it! However I’m unsure how it’s served ? Is it a savory item or maybe I should say a sweet fried pastry served with savory dishes like we serve hush puppies in the south of the US? Or is it a sweet pastry. You both tasted it but it didn’t indicate how it’s served. Loved seeing you work with her. Treasure your time together and make many more memories to share with your viewers TY
I miss Okinawa a lot! Especially the food! Sata andagi and taco rice are some of them! And the spam musubi! This is the first time I am seeing sata andagi with milk in it! I hope they taste great!
Sata andagi!

美味しそう〜!!!おばあちゃんの英語の堪能さとかやはり沖縄の人って多国言語だなぁって思ったけど、ガチ食いっていった時あーこのおばあちゃんが、若い感覚の人なのかな?ってなりました。

What a good memory you have cooking sata andagi with your Uchinanchu obachan. My obachan use to make oishii andagi too.....
