For people who think this is a ballet class, have you guys ever watched ballet at all....this is definitely... not very ballet...except their costume.... If you don’t know much about dance, just look at their hands and feet then you will know.. For ballet, when you rise your leg your foot and your leg almost always form a straight line. Obviously this is not what they are doing in the video.... And look at their hands, ballet dancer would keep their middle finger ring finger and pinky together for most of time, but in Chinese classical dance you keep them apart like what they do in the video... Also their body, would a ballet dancer ever curl her body like this? Very, very , rare I would say...ballet emphasizes a feeling of being straight and upward, whereas Chinese classical dance emphasizes curves and more...downward compared to ballet (I don’t know how to describe it in a better way but hopefully people can still get it) I wanna say a little bit more about Chinese classical dance. Chinese classical dance is reconstructive. It is established in 20th century. It employs the way of body training and some leg skills from ballet, the movements are based on the aesthetics of Chinese opera(which is totally Chinese, a combination of dance and singing ) and historical artwork.
Her beauty aside, the teacher is very involved with her pupils. She looks quite young. I wonder if she's still performing. Hopefully she wasn't sidelined with an injury.
+bangbangtangahwei Definitely not ballet class which would almost exclusively work on the feet front, side and behind, pretty boring. This is classical Chinese dance, which is more demanding, more beautiful and more breathtaking than ballet. The only problem is not as famous as ballet at this moment, yet, because classical Chinese dance is only known to the outside world for less than 30 years since China opened its door to the world. But already lots of techniques and moves of it have been adopted by ballet and gymnastics. It may in the future replace the currently highest form of dance, ballet, as the most respected and watched dance on the world stages. Already, if you watch the Shen Yun (神韵)Chinese Dance troops breathtaking performances around the world in the recent years, you will immediately produce this hope in your mind.
eastcastle g . For someone who "respects dance" you are quite hateful against ballet. Which is NOT boring! And would actually be quite similar to this class!
Your just uneducated on the matter. As ballet has a wide variety slow, and extremely fast. And emotional. This is nice too. Because unlike you I respect ballet and any extension of it (All genres) .

they dance very nice
What kind of syllabus, they use? Vaganova system, may be? I think so...
I don't think so; I'm no expert, but they do not seem to use turnout...
This is not ballet. It’s Chinese classical dance. This is technical training at the barre. They use Vaganova for their ballet division.
这个女人啊啊啊!不寻啦常!
