Temple of Apshai (Dujonquest) - 1979

Released in 1979 for early computers. One of the first graphical RPG games for home computers. Played this via online browser. It was pretty glitchy and my gameplay is pretty much a fail. But here is the video with at least some footage of the game.

IBM PC was released in 1981, Commodore 64 in 1982, and Macintosh in 1984, so something's wrong with the first sentence of your description.
Wiki says it was originally released for TRS-80 and Commodore PET, and eventually ported to all kinds of systems, starting with an Apple II version in 80', Atari 8-bit in 81', IBM PC in 82', VIC 20 and Commodore 64 in 83' and Mac in 84', which makes more sense.
