oh no it's not slow. once you learn about the Double Tapp Mechanic and the Parries, things speed up a ton. Pat and Woolie here are still learning as they play. If you want to see some strong play jump over to the Punch Planet RUclips channel where the devs play eachother. There's some hot stuff going on there.
Woolie, Matt and Pat are on their own wavelength. Every time a reference comes up they're capable of continuing the conversation with their own references that they immediately understand.
The animations of the characters combined with those sick techno beats makes for a beautiful combination. Also holy fuck Mommy Tyara can crush my head between her thighs any day.
Also if this game is supposed to be good they're not doing a good job of showing it off. They're just making it look clunky and slow. And of course Pat would like the might-as-well-be-cheating character and they'd all love the space amazon generic boring design.
I don't know or care anything about Steven Universe, I just think all of these designs are really unimaginative. But everyone's looking past that because ass.

Man it's real interesting to see a game with 3D models attempt to replicate the look and feel of vector animation. They did a fantastic job. It actually took me a little while to realize these were 3D models.
