  • "Sora has opened up the potential to bring to life, ideas that for years were technically impossible to achieve. The ability to rapidly develop high-quality concepts, is revolutionizing my creative process and storytelling, allowing me to manifest my imagination with fewer technical restrictions.
    I've been fascinated by how I'm able to bend light around glass-like materials, unveiling the delicate play of refraction in submerged garments. This journey has pushed the boundaries of my imagination, giving me the creative freedom to blend diverse materials and compositions that were only dreams before." - @josephine.miller

      Everything computable is real. If she can be generated once, she can be regenerated a thousand times - in infinite variants. As can you! You are not an individual - you are a range of identities. You don't "live" - you morph from one identity to another. "Time" is your animation curve.

    • @TheNitroPython
      @TheNitroPython 2 месяца назад +1

      @@brexitgreens You bring a fair point, but I think the inverse is also true. The number of nodes in these networks are in the trillions meaning theoretically there maybe paths that are only activated once in a lifetime generating a human that will never be replicated again.

    • @brexitgreens
      @brexitgreens 2 месяца назад

      @@TheNitroPython As long as she's in your mind, you can reproduce her in a world model (Sora or otherwise) - either via Neuralink or by conventional artistic modelling. The only problem might be a discrepancy between your memory and ground truth. My remedy? Disregard ground truth, go for the memory! The subject of your love is a figment of your perception anyway; truth is only its trigger and seed - often inferior. We don't "fall in love" - we only recognise a match between a given form and the ideal (archetype). But the ideal is preconceived and it already dwells within us. The ideal is the thing which we love; real things are just stretched imitations of that ideal. No one should ever mistake real things for the ideal; no one should ever pledge love to a living thing. Living things are only as good as their alignment with the ideal. (Some define it as God.)

      @@florianschmoldt8659Just learn to use ai as a tool. So sick of hearing artists complain about it. Japan already decided that training artificial intelligence models on copyrighted work is fine, so that means it actually doesn't matter what these models are trained on, because it's not going anywhere or changing. And yes, obviously America is not Japan, but my point is simply that people will go where laws are in their favor, and create whatever they want there. Then it'll disseminate across the world anyway. Which also means that America will probably side with artificial intelligence, considering what it can do for humanity as a whole in the long term. Putting too many restrictions on it means that other countries will likely take over the AI race. I doubt that America will allow that to happen anyway. I don't hate artists or anything, but I find that ironic considering how many digital artists I have seen over the years take other people's work and literally use large chunks of it to blend into their image as texture and backgrounds. Of course they manipulate it and change it, but they still use someone else's work to create their own. I don't have a problem with that either, it's a tool just like artificial intelligence is. Besides, I'm sure plenty of people will still want something to be made by a human. Also, this only pertains to digital art for now. Once robots come, that might change to physical art too. Still, everybody gets upset when new technologies come in and mess with the status quo. But eventually people adapt and learn how to use the technology to their advantage. As for me, I just embrace the technology and use it to do things I never could have done myself. Some people simply aren't gifted with certain skills, but they still have their own visions, and artificial intelligence is allowing those people to finally express their own ideas, which I think is an amazing thing. And, obviously people who would normally freelance may instead choose artificial intelligence, but I'm speaking more for those who don't have a whole bunch of money to throw at projects and instead choose to just work their deadend job and not pursue any of their dreams, which I think is sad.

    • @florianschmoldt8659
      @florianschmoldt8659 2 месяца назад +2

      @@NonsensicalGaming I couldn't care less if Japan "wins the AI race". That's their problem.
      I care about art and people working in the industry.
      I don't mind learning new tools. Did it my whole life. But people typing a prompt, doesn't learn anything. They get color theory for free without understanding it. Learning proportions, composition...f*ck that. "trending on artstation" will do the work and people don't even see the issue.
      And it is a problem! Not because artists don't want to learn new tools but because talented artists already don't get hired if "prompt artists" are cheap.
      That's an industry problem and I blame OpenAI's questionable ethics who got us into the situation in the first place.
      Yes, artists will adapt and people with AI art in their portfolios will fail but in the meantime I'll keep telling OpenAI to f* off
