Thank you, Mike, for coming to our facility. I hope the information was relevant for everyone. I’m definitely not used to being in front of a camera, hopefully I didn’t ramble too much.
Kody is the BEST. He has worked on all 3 of my C7 Corvettes and my C8. There is no one who pays more attention to details than Kody and his team! Great video!
Kody and his team did a fantastic job with the Track Wrap PPF and window tint on my car Z06. They are very meticulous. PPF seams are not visible and the window tint looks perfect. Kody's shop is so clean it's like a surgical room. I will use New Image Auto Detailing again for sure!!!
Kody and his team have done 3 of my vehicles. Only guy I trust! His work ethic is unmatched and his attention to detail is unreal!!! Go see the guys at New Image, you won’t find anyone better.
My 2022 Red Mist got Xpel PPF & CC for around $7,900. That included a fee for transportation of the vehicle from the dealer to the Blackout Tinting Latrobe, PA location. Once completed, it was returned to my residence to enjoy sitting in my garage until the little stones came off the Highways in the Spring! Now, I have an opportunity to receive an allocation from my same great local dealership to obtain a ZO6. Ok, yes I need to make a decision if the allocation is offered to me: At age 69, my health and abilities, does it make sense to purchase a ZO6? I’m not only up for the ZO6 allocation consideration, but am supposedly the first to be considered for a ZR1. Yep, WOW!!! How much money do I want to consider spending??? And what performance level do I want to drive and enjoy. I definitely want to experience a ride in a ZO6 before purchase. So many say the difference between the two is really there! What say you folks that have had both vehicles??? Thanks
Z06 is big step up, don’t think you will regret, but could make since to just wait and go really big with the zr1 if you are in a good position to get one.
74 and have a ZO6. Number 2 on 1 list and 4 on another for ZR1. If you have the resources for both , I say go for it. We only have one shot at this thing they call life. 👍😊
@@larrynewberry3500 I understand that. Yep, on my local dealership’s ZO6 & ZR1 at #1 both lists. Sure would be nice to pull a Hat Trick: HTC, ZO6 & ZR1 Health not so great, in 5th year of Chemo for Pancreatic Cancer. So, that’s holding me back from a lot in what I had planned to do in retirement.
So for a new vehicle do you do paint correction first, film, then ceramic coating? Or paint correction, ceramic coating paint, film, than another ceramic coating?
Yes and no .. all PPF has what is called a top coat . Which helps with it's durability. Against uv and helps it be hydrophobic.. but most companies do not have a dedicated. Coating infused to the PPF top coat itself . And the ones that do ur looking at about a 18 month fail rate .
Eventually all of these coverings go bad in one way or another. The best part is the company who installs the wrap blames it on the manufacturer and the manufacturer blames it on the installer leaving the customer with no recourse other than to start over or sell the car to be rid of the aggravation. Simply a terrible investment IMHO. Again, BUYER BEWARE!! If these wraps were so great, why don't the auto manufacturers offer them as an option?? HMMMM? Because from a customer satisfaction standpoint they are a nightmare. This is where I drop the mic,,,,,,,,,,,,,TATA
U sound so broke.. there's absolutely no possibility u could even afford to talk like this let alone the fact to purchase lol 🤣 I love ur comments.. ur head must be filled with so much vast knowledge. U should really start ur own channel
I don't get it. Why spend a fortune to wrap it when you are already paying comprehensive car insurance for any damage?Wrapping is also limited in how it protects. As a pro detailer and airbrush artist I know that paint needs to breathe. These guys never tell you this.
That makes absolutely no sense at all these cars arnt a single stage paint job … why wouldn’t you take the benefits of protecting the paint from damage from the very beginning if u could … comprehensive insurance isn’t going to cover you for rock chip damage.. ur insurance adjuster would laugh at you .. and I wouldn’t want to deal with a dealership or paint and body shop trying to match OEM paint . Ppf is still porous. So it breaths on its own
@@TheDetailLabTx bro, you are clueless. If rock `chip damage is so minor why would you pay big money for a wrap to protect it from rock chip damage ?LMAO so you are also saying a wrap has holes in it?
@@TheDetailLabTx why don't you answer my questions Mr. Know-it-all? Paint correction... Then film .. then coating .. coating is always a last step
Thanks for the video great information. If you have Ceramic coating on your car can you put PPF over it or does it need to be stripped first?
You’re welcome. No, it would have to be stripped first.
How do you prevent dust specs from contaminating the bottom of the PPF then laying it down on a black car and seeing the specs ?
That's why we use kodys shop bc c
How clean he keeps it .. the prep they do to prevent debris from getting into the clear during install ...

How long/ how many days does it take to ppf a car?
Man that’s awesome 😎

Any recommendations for a similar shop in Houston?? Thanks!

3M PPF!
Wow Mike, I wish I could have my C8 shipped to his shop to have it wrapped with PPF and Ceramic coating.
Many of his high end cars are shipped in from all around the country. That Ferrari they are working on is a very rare car, think less than 100 made.
I’m happy to help find you a reputable shop near your area, I’ve been in the industry for 14+ years and know many great places
Heck yeah, I bet everyone would ship their cars to Kody if they could!
I'm old school. $7500 to expel your car, then $$$ to ceramic coat. ARE YOU CRAZY !!!
go out and buy some turtle wax and your set. 😀👍
