the red wire to the oil swish n the other to the negative on coil , the yellow to caeb swish by the coil n one end to the tradlo swish top right of cab, good to help Victor here good luck
HELLO Man`s that black cable it goes to the positive on coil is for your reverse lights , i have 2 VW `S a 62 n 73 like that one,i do my work on them, for you to be new doing it you are learning good , KEEP UP, good luck,

Timing take # 1 plug out piston top D center, with distributor off then put back down distributor see that point to #1move it slow to start, ha, ha ,ha
I did get the timing figured out. Your help would have been appreciated a year ago! Im not familiar with Bugs at all really I mostly work on newer stuff. That car is long gone now tho
