Thank you for your excellent homily on suffering, Fr. Chris. Indeed, it’s very scary, confusing, depressing and make others lose their faith. Many of us experience horrible suffering and have come to believe that there’s no more hope for relief. If we look at it in a negative way it will never help us, but embracing it in a positive way makes suffering more liberating and an opportunity to understand it in the light of Jesus’ suffering. When we focus on him, we feel the bright light enlightening our hearts, the divine light that strengthens our faith, hope and love. Our childlike trust in Jesus makes suffering bearable and fruitful so, never give up. With him by our side, life is beautiful full of peace, love and joy.

Thank you Lord God for this holy mass celebrated by your good priest Father Chris Alar and assisted by Father Bob. Good to hear your homily on suffering in accordance to the Church teaching. Your life experience as a then-newly ordained priest was amazing. It appears that God directed you to a place to help a man in dire need of salvation. Father Allan, then a brother, guided by the Holy Spirit put into completion the message needed to be heard by an utterly distressed Harold, whose 5 year old niece died of leukemia. Thank you to Brothers Jacob and Alex, postulants Nate, Michael Reed, Ryan, and Brothers Mark and Ken. Blessed Mother, please pray for us and send your Majestic Angel of peace for our protection. Amen.

Thank you Father Chris and Father Bob, Brothers Mark and Ken and all the men in formation for your YES. I love being a grateful, convinced Catholic. Fr. Bob, I offer continued prayers for your parents; this week one of the candles in the St Joseph side altar burns in their memories. Thank you so much Father Chris for your teaching on suffering. I love the story about the man in the White Castle hamburger restaurant. I wonder whatever happened to him and I said a prayer for him and all those present who attentively listened to Fr Allen, this morning. I have no doubt there was a ripple effect, And that even if Harold never returned to church, someone in that restaurant did. You Marians just have that affect on us when you least expect it. I am living proof, and I pray that my fire never goes out. Keeping all of our Marian family and their loved ones in my prayers.

What about all the 2 year old baby boys that died for Jesus when he was born for Jesus to live and to save the whole world in the beginning. Just think about the parents that had there child ripped out of there hand to be killed by the sword for Jesus to save us all. We are not build for this world. You make an excellent point. Sometimes, when you look around, you see others who have gotten more than their share of suffering. Praying for the strength of endurance for those who suffer, and carry their crosses joyfully daily.
