Immediatly after you recommended "To sell is human" I got it, something to listen to while driving during my three weeks of military exercises. Hopefully the last one as I end my nine years of service this December.
I'd an episode on books or just documentation you'd recommend to read :)

First of all looking great Povilas, and I agree a hundred percent with this mindset. I have had this mindset in my previous job and I am brining this to my career change going into programming :) Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

In some cases, junior developers with strong connections or relationships may have better opportunities than senior developers who don't have those connections.

The specification for connection or relationship requires 2 ends - The opportunity to obtain a senior developer exists (while any senior developer is alive) 😊 Marketing geniuses can work harder at looking for and tempting a senior developer (if indeed that is what they seek)

I started off as a marketing assistant back in 2009. Went on to learn SEO and then dived into some basic HTML and making site changes. I'm now a full stack developer 😊

This is so true! I went all the way forward to market myself and now I am self employed *AND* I deliver marketing services too. The former really changed how others view me. From "that little nameless slave in cubicle number 58" to the guy who speaks with the CEO. From what everyone else (including girls!) see as the scrawny, thin, awkward "programmer" to a ripped and confident dude who knows what he wants. The results? *LIFE CHANGING* ! Both in business and in other avenues of life!

IT department of DWP-with best _networks_ in the world money can buy (and access to _all_ unlucky Jobless and _senior_ developers) wrote off £17O,OOO,OOO developing the UC system (when £17O million was a lot of money) 🤔 So now an update another £2.9 _Billion_ (burned out of incompetence) to find 7 in 100 roles (they have the money to employ the best _Marketing_ organisations in the known _universe_ )

Marketing myself for job opportunities..... basically lie lie lie since there is no other way to get passed the HR/Recruiting screening process nor the HR-AI screening process and get to the tech interview since HR nowadays seems to be more and more DELULU

@@JamesAutoDude Quite often, it just takes more attempts or re-shaping what you do, based on feedback you get (or lack thereof).
"Paid for advertising" may be that you paid for wrong channels, wrong keywords, etc.

@@MunthirOmer That is a very _intelligent_ suggestion (I run several AI models in Docker) I used ChatGPT to help (after I was working in _PHP_ for; Porsche VW Hyundai JCB Suzuki BMW) to write ECHR tribunal defence against hunger sanctions at 60 after they terminated me for pneumonia 👍 I also used AI to check 100s of reviews at a time of each enterprise-mainly to warn others as now I have limited capability of working-my productivity is still the same (as when I exported my tools to 50 countries) but I need more rest
