  • Travel on board the footplate of one of the largest locomotives at the Great Central Railway, 9F No. 92214. The class was often at home on the line in the 1950s hauling fast running freight trains - such was the room on the footplate they earned the nickname 'Spaceships' by crews.
This is a sequel of sort to GCR volunteer Roy Emmett's film about the visit of Flying Scotsman. 25 years on, he presents the same ride along the line. How many changes can you spot?
Watch out for BR Standard 2 No. 78018 'photobombing' the view at Swithland, as can sometimes happen on a double track railway.
