Great idea. You did in 2:48 what other people take 5 times as long and there is no annoying rock music. Maybe a little longer with something to simulate the weight so you can practice loading.

I use a used &fired shell and leave the old fired primer in it. Seems to work OK.

It's so much cheaper to buy an actual shell and do this than to buy a snap cap

Just heat it up and the glue stick will melt and make the snap cap live longer.

I just picked up a Stoeger M3020 defense and I am wondering if dry fire will damage the firing pin? I dry fired 3 times while I was cycling the bolt, sort of function Check before I realized I could be damaging the firing pin. I hope I didn't damage it. 😕
