I love the finishing stages, nothing better than covering up the framing/insulation/Mechanical with the siding material. Looks awesome and adds so much character to the building.
I used their 1x6 white washed tongue and groove pine in my living room and dining room vaulted ceiling. Can’t speak highly enough. Such a great product!

The Woodworkers Shoppe is a cool company about an hour south of me. Great products. Side note. I’m yet to try it yet. But I saw a video of a guy installing ship lap. On his outside corners he got the bottom 2 perfect. Then just ran it wild. Hung a track vertical and plumb. Then used his track saw to make that outside corner cut. Way faster and equally as clean. Absolutely love your channel. Keep up the good work
Wow that’s a lot of t&g wood in that building. If it was my building I would of mixed it up by laying a corrugated tin say about a quarter or half way up the walls then put on the t&g. I guess it’s a matter of personal preference. 👍
I did a wire job almost exactly like this one. Large post frame w/ T&G interior. The general contractor requested we pull all our wire then set the boxes as the planks went up. Made cutting around boxes easier for them, worked out good.

If you start with the t and g on the outside corner and away, you don't have worry about the length so much, then its only your angle you have to worry about, def would speed up the process
Awesome install!! I used this same TIG on my lower level ceiling which turned out awesome. The second level really doesn't need to be gutted which has drywalled catherdal ceilings. Have you ever installed any of this over drywall on cathedral ceilings with great success? Thanks again for sharing your install. Great Job!!👍😊

The shiplap is installed with no gaps between courses in a non-air conditioned building in a location with very humid summers. I would expect significant expansion of that 20’ wall in the summer. How is it not going to buckle?

I think for an external corner, i might prefer a vertical square timber with the back corner taken out to cap the corner, then the pine running into it, maybe with a slight reveal, also to slightly round over the corner, that mitre looks great, but someone or something running into it may cause damage.

Owner of this building spent so much just to have no air conditioning is questionable. Thank goodness I'm not in a position of financial opportunity like this. Could have eliminated some windows and actually cooled and heated this building.
It is kind of wild that they are not drywalling, which is a fire barrier before installing car siding. The foam insulation in the walls becomes deadly toxic when burned.

The fumes from the exhaust can be a little strong in enclosed spaces. How reliable are they and are you satisfied with how long the charge lasts?

You always do a superb job with good details including why you are doing it the way you are. I've learned some very useful tips so thank you is in order.
Sure is nice to install the finished product in one step. Looks fantastic and no drywall dust to contend with. The electrician in me was checking to see that the outlet boxes were nailed up in same plane as we don't usually use lasers but rely on the floor to measure from. Looks great.

great video, I have a project like this, but I don't have a clue on how much to charge for it, I have like 1304 sq ft of celling at 20' heigh and1200 of walls from the ground to the 20' ceiling as well. any idea on how much should I charge per sqft for something like this? thanks for the video it really helped a lot.
1000% agree on inside and outside corners I was doing baseboard at my wife's office and I had a scrap piece I cut the angles on and labeled just so I would remember and was still looking at it 14 times each cut haha
How strong is that nail towards a 1/4 in crown staple? We do about 25 cabins a year with all t&g pine interior, We use a max stapler with the tip guard taken off then it fits perfect in the tongue to staple, we also sometimes use a 2”- 15 gauge finish nails nails are fun because of portability, but with staples you got hoses, is a nail strong enough in your opinion,

looks great! when one of my bro-in-laws built his house he laid flooring like this ..it was so hard, one piece was maybe 5 1/2 one maybe 5 1/3 one maybe 5 5/8 so when you went to start the next row you might be trying to match a 5 5/8 piece trying to butt into a 5 3/8 ..it sucked
Hi, I have seen your recommendation for the Stabila rotary laser. I have some land and it has some topography at my build site but I'm on a budget. I'm looking for something that can shoot a sloped grade and do the interior stuff. I'm hoping to find a Black Friday deal. One of the cheapest I have seen is the Johnson Level & Tool 99-029K set. It is self leveling, dual slope and it sounds like the detector has a remote control. I have also looked at Stabila and Spectra Precision, is it worth the price to step up in to those brands? I'm going to use it for two buildings, a small outbuilding and grading, then it goes in the closet until I need a laser again...
I noticed there no metal plates on the studs where plumbing went through to prevent puncturing pipe. Would that make it too difficult to put car siding up?

To me, it matches most closely to Sterling, being mostly a smokey gray color sprinkled throughout with hues of tan and plum. And it's the Ledgestone style, as opposed to Tight-Cut. If you're looking to buy the same product for your own project, though, it's probably best to wait for official confirmation.

Ahh the oscillating tool. We call ours Buzz. Almost as useful as the most versatile tool known to man, the sawzall. In skilled hands a sawzall can even make a great cup of coffee. Buzz is like a junior sawzall.
Man, I sure hope you quoted this job on a "time and materials" basis. Installing T&G takes a whole lot of time, no matter what method and technology you use.
Could you show us how you are going to trim out the windows and doors in detail? I’m asking because in a few months I will be starting a similar project at my house and am having problems figuring it out.
Beautiful! Only thing that slightly bugs me is that there's no vertical grooves at all between the large windows. You only used whole pieces to fill that up. But if the pattern is supposed to be random, then naturally there would be some grooves between the windows too.

You should look at poplar t&g next time. It has a ton of character and with juat a natural finish, looks great. Looks like a perfect install again.

Looks great but do have a question. Why not nail through the tongue? Like a floor. Maybe use a knee nailer for a hidden fastener look.

Do you have to add the vertical 2x4’s if you just put in drywall? Just curious if I could run just the horizontal boards on a 16” oc or 24” oc

Take a look at Topcon lasers. I purchased model RL-H5A for digging my foundation and framing my building. Great set up.
Love useing knotty pine finishes, And always if I can get my supplies from michigan where I live makes it nise
