The reason they utilized the main theme so sparingly onward from mgs2 is because it sounded too similar to Georgy Sviridov's 'Winter Road', so similar Konami faced a lawsuit over it.
All because the MGS theme used the melody of an old classical piece of Russian music 5-ish years before the artist's work entered the public domain. Kojima found out that TAPPY used the melody of that song around the time Portable Ops came out.
@@chocov1233 And yet he still used it (a brief version of it) during the Snake vs Liquid Ocelot battle cutscene right before the final boss fight. Ultimately it wasn't a big deal if it was *inspired* by a song from a russian classical composer.
This theme sounds more suspenseful while encounter sounds more epic. Considering the fact that you are supposed to run from them and not get caught, I think this is more fitting

Why do people rant on TTS? Some stuff has to change to maintain originality. All just because it's a remake doesn't mean EVERY little detail has to be the same.
People is dumb, what do you expect?, I loved this game more than the original from PS1, but the problem is when nostalgia attacks, nobody cares about others opinion, more if it's different.
Now they did make this game a lot more extense, they cut the backtracking with the psg1 t being really close to sniper wolf, and the tubes that can change the pal key, but this game has op mechanics for mgs1, like crouching under the box in the blast furnace, while in ps1 you break it with a missile, you can hang and skip some sections, you can use tranq guns, do hold-ups, and other op stuff not available in ps1.
@AnimeSpellweaver I agree with you. I prefer Twin Snakes over the original. Don't get me wrong, I love the original. I got addicted to the original as a kid. But Twin Snakes just blew me away.
@simplyxwilliam that was not what I meant. Although in metal gear solid 3 you dont have SOLID we have Big Boss, and Solid Snake is a clone from Naked Snake, so its cool. I love MGS3 its my second favorite game on the series, the first being the MGS4.
