A Texas-based singer/songwriter known for his wide-ranging fusion of pop, rock, folk, electronic, bluegrass, and hip-hop, David Crowder rose to success in the early 2000s as the leader of the church music group The David Crowder*Band. Over the next decade, the band racked up numerous Dove Awards for their inspirational rock sound, releasing popular albums like Illuminate (2003), Remedy (2007), and Give Us Rest (2012). Rebranding in 2012, simply as Crowder, the singer launched an equally successful, though more stylistically varied, solo career with albums like 2014’s Neon Steeple, 2016’s American Prodigal, and 2018’s I Know A Ghost.

Loved the video, made me curious about some of the symbolism.... reminded me of old 60's blk&wht TV revivals.
Psalm 98:4 "Call out for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Sing out loud songs of joy and sing praises." If this isn't making a joyful noise and singing the praises of the Lord I don't know what is! God gives each of us a gift, David Crowder is getting through to people of many ages, races, and beliefs. Crowder is a breath of fresh air, just what we need! Love his powerfully evocative lyrics and his ability to make me want to shout AMEN even in the middle of the gym!

God is an all consuming fire. He is the Lion of Judah. He must be feared by all who have the conscious mind to fear Him. He is Love which purifies like an arc light into one's soul. He must be loved by all who have the decided mind to do so. Our human minds are predisposed to fear the growl of large cats of prey....not just fear but fear to death...C.S. Lewis caught that in Narnia. Of ALL the Gospel music I have,and everything else, this one song captures that awesomeness. I live in Africa and I have heard the lion roar after prey ... Better on the side of the lion than the one under judgement. Better under the protection of One so awesome in might that none stand before. Better to be loved by a Father who will destroy anything set against His children. Thanks for making this song. It isn't pleasant to hear by those who seek only comfort but it is a call to adventure for those who seek a fearsome and awesome God.
I just love this song. It ignites your spirit, soul & body. To stand bright in a darkening world where people are becoming so hateful. I personally get so wired with excitement with Holy spirit igniting me of Kingdom promises, to smile & wave at someone mean & hateful to me, while this song is playing in my heart. WILDFIRE! Instead of responding in a fleshly way.

Crowder, this was a holy ghost filled jam. Loved it... caught myself bopping my head & tapping my foot. Also, did not overlook the spring peeper frogs & toads in the background. Here's a bit of trivia I'd like to share. Spring Peeper = Pseudacris crucifer. Pseudacris in Latin means = False Locust (maybe long ago mistaken for an insect) & Crucifer in Latin means = Cross. Would you like to know the pattern on the frog's back. It's a cross. Oh, & they're considered "Chorus Frogs". They sing together. Pretty cool how God made this tiny little frog be one of the first signs of rebirth & Spring. Hope you see this David.

Dove onto your fan wagon after seeing you in Huntington, WV a few weeks ago, bought all of your music, and this is the one that I enjoy most.
