Never quit a run. When a run is doomed, you go balls to the wall and take insane risks. Fight a difficult enemy in a new way. Explore an area you haven't explored before. Interact with everything. If you're not using guides this is the only good way to figure stuff out
@@NeoHellPoet True. And that run was at a point when anyone who isn't pretty close to being an expert at the game would have no possible way of continuing. There was just one thing he didn't know (Le'garde refuses marriage), he learned that, and was still able to adapt.

I remember that part in DBZ when Vegeta lost both his arms while fighting Android 18 and he had to sacrifice a dog to win the affection of wizard Goku in order to marry him.
That entire sequence around Legarde's cell was such a disaster that I genuinely expected him to try marriage with Enki at the same circle he used to sacrifice Moonless and then freak out when it didn't work.

I could v easily be wrong tho and I think I saw on the wiki that there are other things that can lock out marriage at a specific circle like praying to sylvian (ironically lol) so, I wouldn't be surprised if they are effectively one-use only

Bugs are systems not working as intended because of coding errors or oversights. Exploits are methods of using bugs and intended mechanics to do things the developers didn't intend for the player to do. Many but not all exploits are bugs. Most bugs aren't exploits. A bug that crashes the game because you sell exactly 256 items isn't an exploit. Using a combination of high reputation, high charisma and a high barter skill to resell items to a vendor at a profit, likely isn't a bug if all the system work as intended but would probably be considered an exploit (it's definitely harder to see the line when working mechanics are just pushed to the extreme) Leg sweep is very likely both. It could be an inside joke but it's probably a mistake that didn't seem important because the interaction with Leg Sweep was missed. For all would be game devs, take note. Your computer doesn't get context. Whenever possible make new objects for new items, you will forget the shortcut you took when you made all flashlights super directional candles, and now you have melting flashlights.

Having watched the Termina stream, the first game looks incredibly rudimentary in comparison seeing it again. It really is apparent how much improvement there was between 1 and 2.
Wild speculation: person in chat who said "it's not bugged, door is just coded as legs" is a Melee player. Edit: THEY SAID IT'S AN EXPLOIT BEFORE I COULD FINISH TYPING. There's one video about Smash Bros Melee that insists on "does what it's meant to but that has unintended ramifications" being an exploit not a bug, and it's a stupid distinction and they need to just cut it the fuck out. Not least of all because, as a programmer, they are literally just incorrect.
It extra funny because "does what its meant to" is such a vague concept since its referring to intent. Like I don't think the dev intended the door to be destroyed by leg sweep. So are we putting the intent on the code itself? If so then everything works as intended, because the code itself doesn't make mistakes. People can argue all day about what the difference is, but fundamental a bug is the code doing something the dev didn't expect, regardless of if it's a mistake in the code or an overlooked use of the code. Just because the devs forgot to put a restriction on Mario's backwards jumping velocity doesn't mean backwards long jumping up the infinite stairs isn't a bug. Edit: these people's definition would define Mario's infinite speed as an exploit, but the infinite staircase failing to stop you is a bug... I think? I'm not 100% sure where they draw the line. Are the parallel universes a bug or an exploit? Cause the code is working as intended, the devs just didn't expect you to break out of reality with infinite speed?

I always use the empty scroll to have white angel soul. Best item in the game. Or Phase Step to skip parts and save some torches. The scroll play he did was the dumbest play i have ever seen.

@Dahosfan It will be a decent choice in early game, it's really good to open doors and defeat weak enemies. But if you will kill Isayah, you can obtain the scroll for walking on water in Mahabre, go to the salmonsnake lake and walk to the secret lab, you can find the combustion scroll for free without wasting an empty scroll. It's kind of convoluted, but it's worth it.
Oh men, the empty scroll play was so bad. He only needed to go to the mines, fight the other yellow wizard with Le'garde in the party and obtain the eclipse talisman. The most value item in the game wasted for an almost worthless one. You don't need to read the wiki to have a good run in this game, but he really should learn how to use Blood Portal or complete the Isayah quest. His problems with Food, Mind and Torches would be over.
Exploits are just bugs/glitches that can be reliably triggered by players for some benefit. You're both right but the Final Gamer is more right since it's almost certainly unintentional.
