I should do a video about this. None of the side effects I've had are extreme, and they seem to change over time - for a while I had hot flashes, now they are very rare. For a while I had trouble sleeping but that has improved a lot. For a while I was depressed, but that I think was also do to the aftershock of cancer treatment (it hits you when you're done). The lining of my uterus has thickened (which caused a scare about endometrial cancer, but all is fine) These days (more than 2 years in) I feel like I've slowed down some, I have more muscle tightness and have put on a few pounds, but again, nothing serious. The bottom line is that I'm doing well and enjoying life.
Hi Amy, I am so glad you are doing well. I just finished my radiation last Saturday 3/22. This week I caught myself being ultra sensitive and crying this week, while watching television. I hear some people get mood swings with the tamoxifen. I have a 15 year old and 1.5 year old daughters I pray I do not have terrible mood swings with my daughters or husband. I already warned my husband if I become extremely emotion to get me some help ASAP. Usually I'm a 85-90% Happy person. By the way Amy, what?? you've slowed down?? It may be due to the extreme winter conditions we've had this year. Compared to all of your physical/athletic activities I feel like a couch potato. I definitely need some physical activity in my life. At the moment, I am taking a break from revising my dissertation Chp1-3. After chemo and radiation fatigue I have to push myself to complete my school work, lol. My semester is over 4/16 and I feel like I only completed 2 weeks worth of work since 1/6,SMH. Chat with you soon, Dara :)
Loved the noises. lol.
:) glad
Interesting video Amy. How are you doing?
Overall, I'm doing very well, thanks for asking. Struggling a bit with Tamoxifen side effects lately, but nothing serious.
Btw, what type of side effects are you having from Tamoxifen? I'll probably have to start it soon.
