From one new dad to another: What we do for our babies will never amount to the role and responsibilities of the mother. Don’t beat yourself up over it. There are things about child birth and how it affects women that men will never fully understand. You can only try your best and, trust me, you’ve accomplished a lot more than most dads going thru the same thing. I’m glad that coming to grips with your struggle became a moment of clarity for your path. Best of luck.

Maybe even an interview with the owner of RISE YOKOHAMA (maybe an old racing team member)? I believe he might appear on this video: ~Mid Night~真夜中のガレージ『RISE YOKOHAMA』 . Might we even be able to see a video about what happened to the shop that created the ABR-Hosoki Fairlady Z S130 (Air Breathing Research HOSOKI ENGINEERING)???

I have a huge backlog of content I still need to edit and ideas for Patreon etc. but it's so tough doing it on my own. I can't imagine what it'd be like if I had a wife and kid. I wish I could tell how long I’ve been a subscriber here on YT, but all I know is that it’s been a long time. I remember when you got your 100k plaque, and I remember being a subscriber long before that! Always enjoyed your videos. Thanks for making this update video.. I knew things were busy with family, and that issue with the picture of your car in Akiba caused so much frustration. It’s understandable that you’d need to disappear from YT a little bit. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead though, and I’m rooting for you guys!

Also, random, but the S30Z at 17:07 is totally my style! I have a ‘76 280Z that I will be working on soon. My car was already modified by the previous owner. The L28 was bumped up to 3.1L, triple Mikuni carbs, big brake kit, roll cage, and various other things done, but the car was left unfinished. Someday I’ll have her looking as good as that lovely example you saw at Daikoku!

I love hearing this. I’ve ALWAYS preferred the “long form” content. Never been a big fan of the “25:00” limitation that it seems like most creators hold themselves to based on the RUclips analytics. I loved the early Drift Hunter videos that felt more like mini documentaries than quick looks into a day in the life. The travel content, the days going out driving, eating, exploring with the homies always captivated me. SOOOO glad to hear you’re not done for good. Can’t wait to see what is to come! Good luck man and ありがとうございましたか 🙏!

Hi Albo! I just finished watching this video on my TV but I felt like I HAD to comment so I’m here on my phone now to type. I have been subbed here for many many years now, since drift hunter and all the initial d real life location videos. For some reason despite being subbed for all this time, youtube hasn’t been recommending me any of your content! I am SO sorry that I haven’t been here to keep up with you and watch you stuff at a time when you needed me most!! I promise I’ll try my best to check in to the channel from time to time to see what I missed! I’ll go check that notification bell now and make sure it’s on “all uploads” 😂😅 I absolutely love everything you share and seeing the amazing cars over there in Japan blows my mind. For example, when you pointed the camera at the Honda Beat and said “I love those little things” it panned past one of the most clean Mazda RX-8’s I’ve ever seen and I had to just pause it for a sec and drool. My first car was an RX-8 so, I have a deeper appreciation for them despite their bad track record for reliability. Also, everything you see here in the state is in horrible condition so it’s very refreshing to see cars that people actually care about and put large amounts of care and effort into! I too am a new father so I definitely understand the struggle for time. I have so many little projects around the house and on cars outside that I need to work on but I just can’t with the baby always crying and needing attention. It’s like you’re weighed down to the inside of the house with him! It’s all good though, every moment spent with your kid is a good one I’m sure you get that haha. Anyways, best of luck on all your adventures man and keep doing the good stuff you do. Excited for what’s to come! Don’t sweat it, we’ll always be here for ya!

I have found you through the Roulettezoku video and been subscribed ever since. But I always felt like the longer more documentary style videos suit you and your channel more. I loved watching the secret touge series like some undercover documentary. Which makes sense I guess because its a perspective we cant really get from over here. I still enjoy watching your journey, building your car little by little, getting married, buying a house all that because the combination of regular life and car enthusiasm is a lifestyle i personally live as well and its really interesting and inspiring seeing it from another persons perspective. Still the excitment of your documentaries is something else. I hope you find time and opportunity to make more of those videos with some vlogs inbetween, maybe to give some updates on whats happening. Best wishes to your and family

I feel ya man. I’ve been stuck at 140K range for quite some time and my latest videos just don’t get watched near as much as my old videos. Even though the analytics and average watch time and click through rates are pretty much the same as they’ve always been. The big difference, the number of impressions are down and RUclips doesn’t recommend my videos to viewers. Can be frustrating but at the end of the day just like you realized, you gotta make videos for yourself and not for the algorithm.

great to see that you are actually continuing youtube, i guess we got ahead of ourselves, both in the comments, and video, glad you gave it a rethink, was gonna miss you and the s2000 on youtube but it is bearable to have even a few videos a year, had been waiting and hoping everything was ok, didnt realize so much was ongoing in your life and dont be too hard on yourself during such challenging times, id think half a year is nothing, and 10 yrs is well spent, you already know that, investing in a drift car for your mid-thirties b-day, niceee, better not be a R35 cause you 35 now even though its a legendary beast i dunno if reinvesting funds in another car is ideals this moment for the company tbh as a friend, but cool to see you following your passion through, because i also honestly always felt it isyour drift hunter, and touge night run series, were what drew many fans into videos of yours on this channel, more than the vlogs and stuff, and also regarding the merch, have a few feedbacks or suggestions, like including your dope hvnterz logo, establishing other unique brand identifiers, so that it really stands out, the option for direct customization and shipping is a great experience, hope to get my hands on some oneday

Sorry that you've had to deal with so much in so little time bro. Sometimes we need to take a step back and breathe when things become too overwhelming. I missed your videos during your hiatus. I always look forward to them and have religiously been watching them for more years than I can count. I'm glad you're feeling better and realized things you can do better as a man and a content creator. Being "famous" isn't easy and isnt for everyone. I used to produce music and created a buzz for myself and got to a point where I was making enough money to support some of my bills and put food on the table. But I didn't have a plan and became overwhelmed when what I loved doing turned into a full time job. I lost my motivation and love for it and completely stopped. I haven't done anything music related ever since. Although I do miss it, I realized that I spent so much time in the studio that I missed out on certain points of my kids/families lives. The money I made was never reinvested and I became stagnant. And that's when you realize you have to create balance with everything and remind yourself why you love it. I don't want you to feel like a has been the way I do sometimes. Keep doing the damn thing bro. You got my full support and I know your other subscribers got your back too. Can't wait to see what you got coming in the future. Stay safe and keep that flame lit!

I haven't even got to the very end of the video yet but I've got a lot to say.
    1. Thanks for this video and all you've done so far.
    2. Sorry to hear about your struggles. All I can really say to that is that we all got our baggage. Those of us who have been touched by your work have your back. Even when it may not feel like it.
    3. Thanks for being candid about some of the economics behind RUclips. I've only barely started my journey and it's refreshing to hear someone be real about the razor thing margins that videos make.
    4. Good luck to all you do. I'm actually really interested in the JDM experience. Even though I know some people in Japan, they aren't in the car culture so it would be super cool to be able to get a small taste of that. It's now another thing on my automotive bucket list.

Glad your back bro! We have a lot in common as far as car culture. As I too drive an 2000 S2K. Been watching your vids for awhile. Love when your guys hang out at daikoku. All the JDM cars is awesome. Keep us entertained from this mundane world in which we live in. It's ok if you only show us less vids because raising a family and showing us viewers the car culture of Japan is tough. Take care of yourself and see you on the next one.

I’m very touched watching this video.
Through your videos, I was able to experience the JDM passion, Japan, the culture, the Japanese spirit.
I from in Belgium, my dream is to one day visit the Japan, and speak the language.
Through your videos, I was somehow able to travel.
Thank you for these wonderful years.
I hope we will continue to see your videos, even if they are less frequent.
One must also enjoy their family life 🙏🏻
    N’joy the life.
Life of the business and the business man doesn’t be easy, but the experience is really fantastic when the road is hard 😊

Albo i am very glad to see you again doing videos, please do not stop making them, i've been watching you since 2020 and what got me into watching you were your videos about initial d real life story. I wanted to learn more about the story behind how it was created so you videos came in handy, i think those types of videos is the way to go for you so I think you on the right path with the longer videos and rare uploads because i think that way you can bring something exclusive to us viewers and that is why you should eventually succeed. With your passion and good people that you have around you it is just inevitable. Keep on going man let's get to that million subs. 💪

As a new father too and content creator, I agree it's not easy to balance both worlds. To me the most important thing for me is my family 1st. I'll sacrifice the sleep and any leasure time to edit my vlogs. Keep it up and much respect for sharing this.

Back when (nearly 10yrs ago), I discovered your channel was because of your quality video which was more like a professional documentary style video that almost no one had such style in the youtube car content world. I think those videos like underground drifting / touge, wangan / m.racing club, etc stories were the ones which brought your channel up because of the quality editing and content. Your youtube channel vibe is definitely this style and not the vlogs type of vids which leans more towards to quantity. Dont get me wrong, but it's totally fine to post vlogs vids just to get things rolling. Maybe try to separate between vlogs and quality doc.vids where as for example vlogs can be posted every 1-2 vids per week, while doc.vids every 1 month or so. I know doc.vids are much more work putting into hence its fine to post in in 1-2 or x month intervals. Im glad you're back to YT again. Just go with your own pace and keep loving the things you're doing ❤ 💪

I have 2 project cars and they have been in a hiatus since my children were born. Being a parent has been a priority these past 14 years. Time and money which were needed for my hobby were now focused to my wife and kids. I couldnt even think of putting time into anything else...so i totally get where you're coming from.
Now that my kids are older i am getting some time back but this time around i am getting my kids to share my time with me with some of my interests and hobbies.
Sounds like you have a plan....i look forward to more kf your content!

Good to see an upload from you again Albo! Appreciate your videos a lot, but it should never come at the cost of yourself, so I'm glad you took the time to switch off and take stock. You should do what you need to do to take care of the family, and always pursue the passions on the side. Hopefully you find more happiness and get more time to do the things you love doing.

im glad life seems to be back on the up for you. being doxxed and essentially witch hunted is terrifying and incredibly sad. all from a misunderstanding as well. it seems like you're back to being mobile so i hope you continue to take care of your health.
i don't know how youtube will work out but based on the info you shared i personally would've went back to the 9-5. and continue the side businesses as a side hustle until they at least can earn 80% of your 9-5. and just take a slower, longer term approach. being a bread winner whose income depends on so many risk factors without deep savings is terrifying. the family comes first, always.
with that said, i commend the courage. here are my 2 cents. i'd start calling the merch, your clothing brand, it sounds better. lean into graphics versus just words. it distinguishes the brand. you want people to be excited by the brand. not one time charity supporters. i wouldn't quit youtube as all these consulting, touring, merch, stems from youtube. it's the hub. those job offers/revenue streams exist because of albo the youtuber. vlogs certainly are tough to grow. it's hard getting new people to care about the individual. instead of centering the video on an experience you had or did, i'd base it on a theme or a thing. videos that appeal to the greater masses e.g. those day in the life videos, touring local businesses or interviewing japanese people's thoughts on western cultures or events. don't be afraid to copy or re-do old videos of others with your flavor. no one is truly original and there's enough eyes in the sea to even worry about duplicates. interviewing interesting people is the greatest hack cause you yourself don't have to be interesting lol. if you got the capital, general consumables like candy, drinks, sauce are a cheat code cause everybody consumes them regularly. clothing tends to sit around and how many creator shirt does one need. drifting is a money sink that i'd be dubious about at this current stage. videos of the learning process could be interesting or matsuri drifting event but man is it expensive lol.

Thanks for being transparent about being a fulltime youtuber. The main reason why I continue to watch your channel is because of how genuine you are in front camera. Bringing it back to your beginning - for you to move to another country and build a living (especially Japan) and to get to where you are now... that's hard work earned from yourself! Keen to see your future videos 🔥🔥

I can totally relate to you and your wife when it comes to a life changing event like having a child. During the 1st year of being Dad my wife and I walked around the house like zombies 24/7 due to exhaustion, caring for our son and maintaining our regular jobs, it became so bad for me that I quit my dream job as a Hotel Manager on a drop of a dime during a executive meeting 😅 because it came crashing down mentally and physically. Like you I felt more sorry for my wife because felt I wasn’t pulling my weight. When you said you quit RUclips for those few days I can really relate because sometimes you just need to step back, gather your thoughts and re-focus on the situation at hand, family does come first and providing a loving and nurturing environment to raise your little one is upmost priority and secondly the health of your own well being needs it own attention but in saying that i was able to regain that strength through my wife and the unity and love that we felt together and for our new found love of our son. This made me realise what I had to do was just to go back to the basics like how you realised that you needed to reignite that creative side of you and not focus on volume but focus more quality content like you have done in the past and yes it will still be a struggle, for me even 6 years down the track Im loving the family life and my career, life will throw in a curve ball here and there but I can look back at it now and say God has a funny way of showing me the path and actually laugh about it with my wife. I really wish you luck with the new found energy and the family moving forward. You still have a big fan here from Australia and for sure will continue to watch your videos. 🇯🇵 🇦🇺 🇵🇭
