This was a great show & I really enjoyed it- so thanks! The more I learn about you & your Dad, the more awesome you seem! I knew he was an important wrestler, but I didn't know his full impact. He was one of my top favorite wrestlers & GI Joes- so win all around. I was an adult before I realized that the Sgt was never in the military, which I used to 'defend' as top secret. Yeah, I knew your father's real name & that he played many roles, but he was so convincing! Now if he ever writes a book, consider me one to buy it.
There was a time early on when kayfabe was real and no one broke character. As a kid I told many people who asked that my dad was in the military. It was like a family secret! Lol! But at some point all of that changed and it was okay to say my dad wasn’t in the marines, but Sarge was. But before that, the wrestlers really became their characters and some of those wrestlers had a hard time letting go of their character when not wrestling. Thanks so much for watching!
I'm disappointed I couldn't catch this live but what a brilliant watch! So cool to get some insight into the impact Sarge had outside of what we saw on TV and the origin story of the Undertaker. Thanks Kelly, Xazyl and Sarge.
Behind the scenes of the WWF! Thank you! Also, SPACE COMMANDER is pleased to see that he shares the same level of high-tech skill as SGT SLAUGHTER himself! 😂 🚀
Hahaha! Yeah, I’ll right there with you guys! I’m so technically challenged, I usually give my device to my almost 4 year old and tell her what I want to do and she does it! 😂
Yeah, it does bug me when people say SARGE wasn't in the military. These are CHARACTERS! How many graveyards has Mark Callaway worked in? None! But nevertheless, he *IS* the UNDERTAKER!
I'm with Kelly. Fans can judge (within reason) the content they've spent time and money on, but you can't speak to someone's character you don't know. Even in the case of the one or two celebrities I've met at conventions who seemed curt or rude, if I mention it to someone, I'm quick to add, that in my brief experience that was the case. For all I know, those people are the nicest ever most of the times and were just having a bad day.
Thanks for sharing these amazing stories with us 🤩
Thanks! Appreciate the support, always!
