Yo una vez vi en un programa asi de Animal Planet, que los perezosos cruzaban la calle para ir con las perezosas que estaban encerradas de mascotas en el pueblo. Y los vecinos que veian a los perezosos machos cruzando la ruta trataban de devolverlo a la selva, porque si cruzaban esa calle entraban al pueblo y ahi lo iban a matar para comer o lo iban a encerrar para vender como mascota. Pero los machos al final cruzaban igual, porque las hembras largaban un olor que volvia locos a los machos y por eso cruzaban a pesar de que del otro lado este el pueblo. Pienso que por eso el hombre lo devuelve al perezosos para que vuelva a la selva.

This guy is actually smart with the animal. He doesn't baby the sloth and treat it like a human child. He speaks to the animal's natural instinct, by bringing a stick. Sloths naturally hang on trees so the the sloth thought it was grabbing a small tree. The man used that instinct to save the sloth. I wish more people dealt with animals wisely and treated them like animals, instead of forcing them to be human. They would do a better job dealing with animals if they understood them.

It's not that I enjoy the idea of this sloth being killed, it's that if an animal is going to be hunted and eaten by a predator that belongs in that ecosystem, we don't have any business standing in the way of that natural phenomenon. Just look at what has happened with the U.S. trying to manually regulate the deer and wolf populations. Either too many wolves are killed and deer population gets out of control, or the deer get overhunted and then other species begin to artificially outcompete due to human influence. There's times to act, such as trying to save a near extinct species, or addressing global climate change, but we can't forget that even if human involvement is what could save these creatures and the environment, human involvement is also what caused most of these issues to begin with. They most certainly do not need us, there would be nothing to fix if it weren't for us. Domestic animals need us, yes, so do species we have hurt and that we owe it to to help heal, but as for the rest, they do not need us, nor should they.

It feels important to mention that different animals have different associations with particular gestures than us humans do and misinterpreting (promoting an incorrect response) those gestures could create a dangerous situation. This scenario wasn’t dangerous, BUT the sloth isn’t actually pointing or wanting a hug, these are defensive gestures they do when they feel threatened and scared!

It feels important to mention that different animals have different associations with particular gestures than us humans do and misinterpreting (promoting an incorrect response) those gestures could create a dangerous situation.
This scenario wasn’t dangerous, BUT the sloth isn’t actually pointing or wanting a hug, these are defensive gestures they do when they feel threatened and scared!
Awe! That's so sweet. I think sloths only will climb down a tree when they go poop and they'll climb down and do their business. Or sometimes they'll fall out of the trees while sleeping. This was such a sweet gesture. I love seeing sweet stuff like this

@@kayade5305 it could potentially die of exhaustion now. It takes a lot of calories sloths don't have to make a trip like that. It was probably a desperate situation that it was even crossing in this first place
