Good morning Jenny and Jerry and family! Have a wonderful day everyone!
So many plants, so many choices and that’s what’s keeps a gardener happy! Fun, informative video. Thanks.
I’m glad you showed the berm again! Bookmarking this video. I was a tad disappointed in not showing those beautiful boxwoods. I was so hoping for a great over view of them. I so want to do something interesting with them in my future space.
However, I was reminded in this video of how important it is to plan for all seasons with infrastructure, perennials, my light source, watering needs etc.. Great video!!! Thank you!
I so wish I lived near by. I would pick your brain to the point you’d probably give me a plant to leave!!! LOL
Have a blessed day🌺🌺🌺
Oh, I visit garden centers multiple times a season. 🥴 Just picked up several more plants on one of our last 100 degree days and now we're in the 60s. Go figure. Good sleeping weather.
I'm a little sad to think about putting my gardens to bed fairly soon. Everything is looking so good. I've taken numerous photos to satisfy my need for color this winter.
Working in the garden, side-by-side w/ the bumblebees 🐝 well, it made me so happy to see my anise hyssop and nepeta covered w/ bees and they were busy.
Selamat pagi kak. Selamat hari libur akhir pekan
Senang sekali bertemu dengan channel ini. Salam kenal dari Indonesia.
I just bought my puffer fish and love it. Its still in the pot near scatter sun until the weather cools off for my fall planting. I bought over 20 plants for the fall. Probably will buy more hehe.
Good Morning!! It's always so enjoyable watching your videos! Your happy excitement for all this beauty in your garden, makes its so fun to listen to!! Enjoy your day!!
So nice of you, thank you❣️
Look at the coleus!! Love all the colors and textures. I’m a new lover of cleome! 💜🩷🤍
My 2023 “funny: I planted a packet of gomphrena seeds in April or early May. One seed sprouted!!! It is all of 3 inches tall and has a one inch bloom! Lol!!!!
I just love the berm gardens ❤. I can't wait to see how the perennials you put in mature next season. Can we skip straight to Christmas and then straight to spring?? 😂
The wicked witch coleus and the cleome sure are living their best lives. Some annuals can grow very vigorously. I had some very happy lantana one year that smothered out my new little loropetalum. Lesson learned!
Watching from Delaware.
Good morning!
Same here! I’m In Sussex county
Morning Jenny n Jerry your flowers look beautiful love watching your tours
Goodmorning Jenny,
I am in MO, zone 6b and looking at transplanting two 3 yr old Limelight hydrangeas. To big for the space they are in. I found your video on transplanting Frannie the hydrangea from a yr ago. Was the transplanting succesful? I know you are all so busy...posting a picture of Frannie and how she is doing now would be great.
Seeing life after transplant would be encouraging!!
Thank you.
Angie
So beautiful. So thankful you have a channel to share the beauty with all of us.
Wonderful tour! Everything looks beautiful!! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Just beautiful! Love watching and learning!
Thanks so much 😊
Zone 8 Florida here. I noticed my porchalaca and impatients coming back from last year!!
That’s awesome!
I am in love with all of your Echinacea! Some of my very fave perennial plants are: Perovskia, Sedums, Hydrangea, Agastache and Echinacea. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on plants and viewing your gorgeous gardens. ❤🦋
Thank you Jenny. I added a few plants that I will be looking for next spring. 🌺💚🙃
Great video. Especially as things look tired in my garden this time of year. I definitely need to plant more of all of these!!!
Everything is gorgeous! I have to get to garden center puffer fish and more echinaceas the yellow were beautiful!
Great tour!
Thanks for the tour👍
Thanks for lots of tough plant ideas. I sure hope you offer the suncredible sunflowers for online sales next year. I have never been able to find them here in GA.
The bird bath in front of the Gomphrena (little boy with bowl on head). Beautiful! Is that a Unique Stone piece?
It is! It is the Charleston Birdbath Boy.
I just found a drought tolerant plant honey bells , blooms winter trough spring!
Do you think you could mention how to trim them and etc? I'm so new to shrubs and things that I have no idea. I live in Southern California, and I just don't know when to trim things. And yes, that caryopteris is stunning. I hope it grows in z10b... 🙂
Hey friend I was just thinking I live in very hot but, dry El Paso, TX and although we coincide a great deal in terms of plant material one gorgeous annual I dont think you have ever featured are lovely hot and arid loving Gazanias. Silvery and green variegated foliage with large bright colored daisy like pointy petaled flowers. Do you guys grow them out there?
Hello Jenny, any beyond pink D Bluebeard available in your nursery?
Hi 👋 Jenny
I want to grow echinacea so badly but we are in Texas 9A and they just turn crispy!,
So Laura on GA says the Truffula Pink smells like body odor from someone who ate alliums 😂
I love mine ❤
beautiful! how do you keep echinacea from losing its leaves by rabbits or others???
Spraying with a rabbit and deer repellent.
Good fan
Is the general public able to order from Walter's Gardens? I looked up the pink cascade butterfly bush and it seemed it was only available for wholesale purchase. Such a beautiful plant!!
Walters Gardens only sales to businesses/growers and not directly to individual customers.
My echinacea quit blooming about three or so weeks ago. Full sun, proven winners, they did great last year. Not enough water?
Mine are slowing down due to the cooler weather .
Mine are pretty much finished as well. I sure wish I had some that were still blooming.
QUESTION: Do y’all never have to deal with Fire Ants? If so, please share what you use to eradicate them!
I swear, they have scouts that listen in on where I want to plant something and POOF! Overnight there is a full blown ant hill. And OUCH! Do they hurt!
Adding: Here in southern Louisiana we have little black sugar ants, then Fire Ants and now learning something the old timers call “CRAZY ANTS” because NOTHING will kill them. HELP! Anybody?
I can’t tell you the number of products we have tried.
Does your truffle of pink have an unpleasant smell? Laura recently said hers did. Just wondering if it's her growing conditions. I'm middle GA, 8A and wondering whether to plant or not. A container planting last year didn't survive.
I have found that when you plant it in mass it can have an oniony smell at times.
Couple questions....are those low growing barberry's Barberry Admirations? How do you keep your coleus from getting leggy and dying out inside when they get so big....this is a problem I have? Lastly I am looking for a compact Coneflower say 12 to 14 inches max or less...any suggestions?
I can help with the coleus question. Keep pruning off the top of the plant. Especially if you see a flower bud forming. Prune it off and it will divide and get bushier instead of leggy. Also, mine needed A LOT of water. (I didn't have a proven winner variety) but I sometimes had to water twice a day
I concur on the coleus. I have a few proven winners varieties and they are huge water babies. I haven't made it to pruning them, but that does help with legginess.
For the echinacea, the double coded Butter Pecan only gets 18-20 inches tall. That is the shortest I've found.
Could you possibly tell me what kind of blue or silver evergreen I could grow here in my high humidity zone 9a Texas? I've tried to google it but haven't had any luck with that so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 🌾🌼🌾
I'm in zone 8. Texas sage
If you Google shrub tamu you can gets tons of great info
@@hollyleach2056 is that an evergreen?
My plants 🪴 grow not much..then die 😢..Soil My be the problem... some plant taken off others die 🤷♀️
Real gardeners wear hats and get dirty. The voles ate some of my grasses and they went to plant Heaven. Argh.
Sorry for loss. It's a bummer when animals eat your plants
Jenny, your videos are getting harder and harder to watch. I originally thought I was on a good timeline. I’ve been trying to complete the flower bed around my house this year that is until August 9 when suddenly I landed in the emergency room for three emergency surgeries. Now I’m only allowed to lift 4 pounds needless to say that has limited me, and what I am allowed to do. Sadly, I lost a lot of plants while I was in the hospital because I didn’t have anything set up on drip but that is a goal for next year. So many plants I just don’t know what I want.
Is it too late to transplant a double delight rose? I planted one this year and it doesn’t seem to be happy where it is 🥹
It depends on where you live. For me in NC, I would still have plenty of time to transplant a rose.
I’m in Virginia, also zone 7b. Thanks Jenny 😋
