Superb. For me the best lineup. Steve Severin definitely has an unusual bass style - mainly upstrokes. And of course the magnificent John McGeoch and Budgie!

I was really looking forward to watch this video once I saw "Live 79 " , in the hope I would get to watch how they sounded with McKay and Morris ,instead I get them ,arguably, at the height of their McGeoch period ...flawless performance ...this is hands down the most powerful Banshees performance I´ve ever listened to.
"Spellbound " for example has this incredible energy to it which I had never heard before ..."Switch ", another pretty crazy version here ...
"Are we loud enough for you or what ? ...are you sure ? " sums this concert up .

Cheers! I saw them in Lund, here in Sweden, a few days earlier (or later), then again at the Danish Roskilde Festival in 1983. 🤔

@@max1334 And the Punk Queen (well, they didn't play punk, but she went to a lot of them in the mid to late 70s, she's seen in docus from that era and on clips here at YT...) was embarrassed to see naked Swedes sunbathing on the cliffs when they took the ferry out in the Sockholm Archipelago around that time, 40 years ago (Dear Prudence)... 😏
Also, pretty drunk I actually found a hole in the security fence and climbed up on stage when they played at Roskilde, and there I sat, 6-7 m from her during two tracks (before they lead me off stage) and in front of my friends (who saw me) in an audience of maybe 40-50,000. My life as a rock star...ah memories!
