- Tobin recaps Miami Heat preseason opener against the Hornets. No Tyler Herro or Jaime Jaquez but the starters looked good and the ball was popping and moving fast. Jimmy Butler makes most of his 16 minutes. Bam Adebayo firing away threes, Jović showing even more growth and the Heat rookies Pelle Larsson and Kel'el Ware were as advertised

Man! I so wish spo played these younger guys more. So fun to watch them ball especially Kel'el Ware, Larson and Keshad 👏👏👏
Ware needs to be more aggressive on box outs. On free throws Diabate and Giles would just get low and in front of Ware then push him backwards. Use your quickness to get low and get around the box-out like a defensive end vs an offensive tackle.
Add 20 pounds like Jovic and he’ll be fine, not too hard for someone 7 foot tall. We’d all love to hear you encourage him to add those pounds Tobin! Or ask him if he’s added any weight.
His confidence in taking 3s while being our best shot blocker since Hassan, is mouth watering.
He is trying, he is just light
@@PhreshRadioagreed. There was also a play where they drove on him and shoved him because he was too light, and that lead to an and one. Once he puts weight he’s good

i used to think he was horrible too but he does a lot of amazing things defensively if ur into advanced stats he had by far the highest deflections per 36 minutes in the league.

That's the best starting and closing lineup in my opinion. Ware had 4 blocks. 😂 that's awesome and much needed for our team. We could win the East with Ware in the starting lineup and we'd probably win the finals too. 😂 I know it kinda sounds delusional, but am a passionate Heat fan. I hope coach Spo is being smart about this. Ware, Keshard, Larsson and Christopher should all get regular minutes every game. Highsmith sucks and can't freaking shoot. Smh don't even know why we resigned him and his defense isn't even the best so I don't wanna hear that. I watch every Heat game last year and Highsmith is trash. He gets the most open looks on the team cause opposing teams don't even fear him and yet he usually miss most of his shots and badly too. 😂 I want Highsmith gone and I want Keshard, Larsson, Bucks, Christopher and Ware to all get regular minutes each night. The East is wide open cause Boston sucks. Knicks are Knicks. Philly are second round exist at best. Pacers sucks. Cleveland sucks. Orlando Sucks. Bucks aren't true contenders. 😂 am going nuts as I type this. 😂 Heat are the best team in the East, but that's only if the coach is smart and use the talent he has to his disposal wisely. Ware blocking how many shots and only played the 2nd half. Spo loves to sit the rookies there first year or 2 even Bam barely played his first couple years. But Ware looking like Wembenyama out there. Hope he plays during the season instead of rotting on the bench for the 'culture'.
Bro this is pre season. People usually play like 15 minutes a game in preseasons. Jimmy played like 15 as well.
Don't expect major playing time for anyone in the pre season.

@@yapyap3 Coach Spo only played Ware in the second half and that's the problem here. Ware should start every freaking game in the preseason to show us what he can do. Coach Spo is dumb sometimes and so freaking stubborn. It's so freaking annoying watching him making dumb decisions after dumb decisions. I want Ware to get regular minutes each night and I also want Larsson, Keshard and Christopher to get regular minutes each night during the regular season. Period. Are we gonna win a championship? It's up to coach Spo. Highsmith sucks. 😂 why the hell did we resigned him. I don't wanna hear about how good he is defensively because that's not a defensive league anymore. Our rotation should be: Terry Rozier-Tyler Herro-Jimmy Butler-Nikola Jovic-Bam Adebayo. Then off the bench should be: Kele'l Ware-Jaime Jaquez-Duncan Robinson-Alec Bucks-Keshard Johnson-Josh Christopher and Pelle Larsson. That's 12 deep. Everyone would be fresh come fourth quarter and Jimmy Butler can take the regular season easy and go off come playoff time. 😂 I love the Heat (since 2006) and just freaking wants to win a championship, especially for Jimmy Butler. Rozier needs to come off the bench. Burks scores better and plays better defense. The Heat don’t need a guy shooting 3/10 and horrible on defense in the starting unit.
Kal isn’t light he’s jus tall no need for more weight but if he wants to he should put on Giannis muscle I don’t want him to be a heavy big that keeps getting injured
