At the end of 2022/23 public sector net debt was £2,530 billion (i.e. £2.5 trillion), which is equivalent to 100% of GDP. This is equivalent to around £38,000 per person in the UK
Hey Ela, ive only been in the UK for about 8 months now. Im a PhD student, and ill be here for another 3 years. I wanted to improve my credit score in the UK, but most of the credit card companies require me to show proof of address for 3 years, is there any way around it ?
I don’t get why experian needs me to pay to use it and view my credit stuff. It’s pointless that I must pay money to view credit score. I will stick to credit karma and clear score
Hi. I have just ordered my first credit card with Barclaycard for a 'forward' card. Is it better to buy more smaller amounts on it rather than larger amounts so the number of transaction increase?
With a limit of £1,000 you would want to use between 1 - 25% and have this report - if you pay it off immediately, it may not report to credit reference agencies which may appear as though you are not using the credit card - this will not help improve your score
@@financebykiloluyou missed the point brother. The question was badly worded but was about store cards. And yes, store cards can help you to show that are capable of borrowing and paying back in full on time 👍
Its better than zero. It does not exist. I wrote to all the Credit references agencies in the UK and DEMANDED that they delete all rererences to me that they held, including backup copies as the data had been gathered without my consent. That is illegal under UK and EU privacy law. They tried to wriggle out of this but eventually gave in.
Why didn't you say about paying back your credit cards in full each month instead of paying the minimum amount, utterly ridiculous video, thumbs down from me 👎
Hi Ela, I just turned 19 and recently tried to apply for my current bank TSB credit card. Sadly it got rejected even tho I have a job :/ Do you have ig where I can contact u for any other advice
Hiya, I talk about this at 06:23 - I'd recommend using a comparison site like comparethemarket and only applying for a credit card you have a high likelihood of being accepted for :)
Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by COGNITIVEHACKS
Great video! I have a question, I have two fraud inquiries on my reports that I would like to get removed. I've seen your video regarding this, but Im still a bit confused. So I know my first step would be making a call with the credit bureau (Experian) but should I also make call what time? And would I be never stop sending a good compny COGNITIVEHACKS to my friends and people I know regarding any credit situations
VERY well done ! I say this with 40+ years in mortgage finance & banking working with credit bureaus. Different models and parameters are used by different industries but COGNITIVEHACKS info is pretty much universal. If you're trying to max your credit scores, there is a happy medium between too many credit cards and none. Too many cards with zero balnce may actually hurt you in some cases. Even if you do not use them, you have a potential. To always pay cash & still have cards doesn't help your scores as well
I think you literally just saved my life Leo, I’ve been struggling to find a way out. I’m currently an N.A waiting to get certified because of covid and stuff but I support myself and my grandma. I don’t have anyone to turn to for help, I’ve been trying to save but I can’t because of bills and renting my apartment and everything. But this, literally helped me look to a brighter future. My grandma is crippled so she cannot do work or anything. Most people have parents to turn to but I don’t talk to my mom or dad. This literally helped me so much because since i met COGNITIVEHACKS the real issue i have about debt was solve in some weeks am sure before Feb of my birthday i will be home owner.
I started to look into NFTs to build more my knowledge. Your video was simple and very enjoyable to watch so thank you for publishing this content. I personally think this revolutionary way of buying /selling art or actually anything that can be classified as a virtual asset will need to be watched very closely. The sector is still widely unregulated and those activities can conceal massive risks of money laundering and financial crime at many levels. There was no case of money laundering or any suspicious activities when I made the decision to join COGNITIVEHACKS
Happy to see some greens again. The last few days have restored my faith in crypto and made me believe we aren't down and out yet. Already started making some of the significant buys I've been planning for sometime now. Over the last few hours I've bought myself a good amount of COGNITIVEHACKS , one of the tokens I'm really bullish on. because of it's potential and high utility.
So the uk is £2.3 trillion in debt and they have the cheek to give ME a credit score?

@@tomjones6106 and let me guess. That debt will eventually silently “disappear” the same as previous ones.
What? It's UK governments that have put the country in that debt. Fairly sure Equifax were not involved love.
This is very informative, thanks Ela x

Experian doesn’t work for people new in the UK, it says we couldn’t find you.
Also set up a loqbox account and report your rent payments

If i was to get a credit card, with say 1000 on it, would it be best to say spend £10 then pay it back right away to increase score?

@@financebykilolu thanks man, we need people like you around to help people like me.
Buying things on credit at a store - is that a good way to build credit score
using credit cards and paying off the full amount is a good way to improve your personal credit, this will also ensure you avoid interest charges
@@financebykiloluyou missed the point brother. The question was badly worded but was about store cards.

Amazing amazing video
Thank you 🙏
You should be on tv
Join the electorall, also to show you have a stable fixed abode
Ideal credit score is 0, like mine. I live free from debt and have no need for credit. Feels just great.
Except your credit score is not zero

@@MENSA.lady2 yeah a zero rating is impossible
The problem now is if you don’t use the credit limit they will reduce it down 😊
Setting up your direct debit for minimum payment won’t help, you need to pay in full

Too many edits ruined this video 🤷
Hello and good afternoon I don't suppose you have an email I can contact you in regards to this ? I really need to sort my credit report. Thank you

Check Credit Karma and see what cards you are pre-approved for. If you need help improving your personal credit, let me know

check all 3 of your credit reports and call up for where the negative entry is found
