Beauty and the Beast is one of the greatest love stories ever told in disney history. Not only does love change you mentally, it transforms you physically. That's the reason why it will always be my favorite! :)

I had the greatest privilege of being in this show as Chip the cup at 6 years old along all these amazing actors and actresses. Probably one of my fondest memories of my life and I can happily say that at 25 years old. This video is excellent!

Thank you so much for uploading this - I was nine when my parents took me to see this show and it starred this same original cast. Loved every moment of it but was so sad when I couldn't find much of the london production on youtube. Derek Griffiths will always be my favorite Lumiere and Burke Moses will always be the best Gaston. :)

When the show transferred to the Lunt Fontanne Theatre on Broadway in 1999, the Fireworks in Be Our Guest were replaced with just smoke blowing. Then, on the final pose confetti streamers fire from the audience.
Also when Toni Braxton took on the role of Belle on Broadway, a new song was added into the show for her called A CHANGE IN ME and then was used for the rest of the Broadway run.

I'd have loved to have seen this as a kid! Actually, I still would, looks like such a great show!
I was looking at Mrs Potts (Mary Millar) thinking "I know her. I know her. How do I know her?" And I suddenly sat bolt upright and exclaimed "Keeping Up Appearances!" Then I started to doubt myself, but she really is Rose...

Thank you so much, where were you when I needed you. I made Belle's Broadway skirt in 2012 and was having trouble trying to find any good images or videos. I went to see this in London, such a shame it is not there now. The touring show is not half as good. Just wish though they would show more info on the bottom of her dress as this is what I had an issue with the most when making. apart from that this is brill. Don't ever take this video down.

I honestly think Alasdair got the Beast a little better than Terrence Mann. Terry played it more like it was meant to be a singing role, whereas Alasdair has more inflection in his voice, he's more of an actor-singer than a singer-actor like Terry--it gives so much depth to the Beast, and his rendition of "If I Can't Love Her" genuinely made me cry the first time I heard it, and I actually cared about the Beast in that version. (But you can never beat Susan Egan!!)

I don't think that is completely true, yes for seeing the musical in English I would go to London or new York. But don't underestimate the dutch and german productions they are world class but just understandable for non speakers. Also the major producer of musicals in the world is stage entertainment, which is actually a dutch company

How can having Stockholm syndrome for anyone be love. Unless you are the kind that's a massacist. In the other hand a man courting you and planning his life with you that's love. Not keeping someone against their well. I only would have agreed it would be truly a love story if Belle wasn't so unconventional and married Gaston.
