The adapter connects to the CD changer port at the back of your stereo, or in the trunk. The adapter then provides AUX input, as well as USB, iPod, Android phone and Bluetooth connection. Check our website for more info.
Yes it will. The stereo needs to be capable of accepting MP3 CD changer. To ensure the compatibility with your vehicle I recommend you to contact our tech support at the website.
Ok, thank you for your clarification. This feature is supported as well. But there is no prediction on which application it will activate, as it mainly depends on the phone and the applications/media players that are installed.
@shlrdl You can route the cables to the glove box or close to the stereo outside. It is good to have the actual box accessible as it will make it easier to update the firmware.
Hello. Yes you can use the steering wheel controls to operate the unit. Such as answer the phone, skip the track up and down. If the CD changer function in your car was not activated, you will need to go to the dealer and program the car for the CD changer. As for teh complete video, what do you want to see? Thank you.
I have a BMW e90 2011 non-idrive and I don't have a CDC installed, so there's no such thing like CDC on my car radio's menu?? I ordered one of this product. I sent an email about the compatibility with my car but your company did not reply yet. I guess the CDC option will be enabled once I install the gromaudio module into my car, right? Or do I need to do something special to activate / enable the CDC option? I hope not... Could you please inform me about this issue? Thank you
Just installed GROM-USB2P-BMWS and everything is working well, except for one thing. When I enter the car and turn the ignition on, how can I set the GROM module to automatically play the song that was left off?
Hello Marc, we need to take a look at the stereo. Can you please send us the picture? If the stereo is compatible you can keep the CD player. External CD changer has to be disconnected.
I have a 1series (2009 E87) with a professional radio like the one in the video, but the stock radio was the business.. So now i don't have the AUX option, but i have USB option, but don't have a USB socket in the car. Do GROM has a similar system like this for 1Series? And if it has, would i have to program the radio/car ECU for USB/AUX to work?
hello, i have installed the whole thing and almost everything is working. the bluetooth mode is working perfectly bud the usb/ipod mode nog. i can hear my songs bud i cant get to the next track or previous track with the radio or with my steering wheel and also cant fast forward or back. the only thing that works is the volume buttons with usb/ipod mode. i hope that you can help me out here.
i d like to install your device in my bmw e39 525d touring 2003. i got the radio with the big screen. is it possible to install and aux input in this car? ty
I'm curious as to how this kit can work without any coding of the CDC on the MOST ring. Normally BMW are very strict about the items on the MOST ring network. If the vehicle has existing CDC then sure its not a problem to install this product. But if there is no CDC pre-installed in the vehicle, would it not require additional programming from the BMW dealer or some aftermarket console like Autologic?
I have a BMW Professional Radio in my 2010 BMW Z4 there is no USB in port, there is an Aux port however. What I would like to know is do you have a GROM product that can make my radio more up to date, plug my Iphone 5 into, be able to see what is playing on the radio screen, and still be able to use my Steering Wheel Controls?
I only have Radio, CD and AUX as alternatives on my stero, if I install something similar to this will there be more alternatives to choose from or do I need a specific stereo with these alternatives? I've a 330 E93 2008

Hey, could you help me out? I have AUX in my BMW 3-series E90 inside the arm rest thing, but it won't show up on my main radio harness, got any ideas to why it ain't showing up?

@thethief123456789 Hello. Your stereo is not compatible yet. I believe that the sales stuff took care of your order already. The CDC option will be enabled as soon as the adapter is installed.

I have a 1 series(10/2010), w/Professional Radio. This would be a PERFECT solution to what I need, so my question is: Is it compatible with my car/radio and if it is, does it need to be coded/recoded? Cheers! :)
Hello Luke, the GROM-USB2P-BMWS should memorize the position of last played song, and restore it upon connecting to the phone. If yours does not do it, please contact tech support - they will be able to help. Just go to gromaudio website. Thank you.
yes, it will work. But you will need to make sure that the MP3 CD changer option is activated in your vehicle. If it is not activated, you will need to visit local dealer and ask them to activate that option for you. See more info here: gromaudio.com/store/most_adapters/grom-mst4-bmwo4.html Thank you.
Hi everybody. I have an E92 Coupe diesel. It has oem BMW Professional music system without usb. There is only AUX input inside the center armrest. GROM Audio First of all thank you very much for your quick reply. Actually it's very easy :) I just want to listen my music lists in my USB flash disk but I don't have in my car any USB socket. Hello, yes we have a product for your car stereo. It is called GROM-MST4 car kit for BMW: gromaudio.com/store/most_adapters/grom-mst4-bmwo4.html Note that the stereo should have CD MP3 Changer function activated.
