Thank you so much for this video! I feel better now. We are in the same side of the world with similar conditions. I was worried that my Anthuriums would not make it this winter but they are doing just fine. Seeing and hearing people say Anthuriums need all of this humidity made me not want to try them. I’m glad I did though because I love them!💚
People (including myself) get too wrapped up in “perfect” leaves when in fact, the is rarely the case in their natural habitat. I’m really enjoying learning the origin of my favourite plants and how they live in the wild.
Always happy for a new video because I've watched literally every other video you've made. Thanks for the Anthurium tips! I finally got one a few months back and it's pretty easy to care for.
Not "my monstera collection" lmao 🤣 Nah seriously appreciate that you show the not so perfect side of your plants too! There's way too much of that out there. Plants are living beings with imperfections just like us.❤
Unintentional fenistrations, Monstera collection!😹Great way to still find joy in less than ideal leaves. Fun fact: Circus Peanut candy is Banana flavored. I could see where that scent might translate from other vegetation 🍌😻
I’m beyond flattered🥰🙏though not much. Just a little lemongrass moisturizer I’ve had for ages. Only use it when I get out of the shower so my skin stays hydrated.
Noooo, don’t put it in your mouth! 😱😂 I let my son do that with a dead alocasia leaf, because I knew he wouldn’t eat it, and I knew it wasn’t so poisonous as to be dangerous, but what I didn’t know is that the calcium oxalate crystals make it an experience similar to chewing fiber glass. It seems that some people are more reactive to it than others, though. Glad we didn’t have to watch you gagging and clawing at your tongue. 😂😂

Still so stunning. Thank you for being so real ❤️
Always!

Wait till we see the beautiful aroids of Colombia in a few weeks, with massive holes and tears in their leaves 💚

Thank you for watching my videos. It means the world to me🙏
And as always…your plants❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Keeping it real! Thanks Jake!
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the good videos and I just got your T-shirt this morning. Thank you very much. It’s a sick shirt.
So glad you like it! Thanks Jason😊
This is realistic expectations for anthurium growth in ambient conditions. Mine also have deformed and ripped leaves at times. All part of the fun 😂
It’s definitely more common for me in winter!
Not "my monstera collection" lmao 🤣

So true, and even with their flaws they have beauty and potential to grow.
I friggin ❤❤❤❤❤❤ your hoodieeeeeeeee!!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you! This is one of my favorite designs of made so far😋

You’ve reminded me to smell anthurium inflos while in Colombia! Some can have pleasant (or fowl) scents!
@plantgayforlife yeah, skip the rotting flesh scented for sure 😹
It’s certainly eye opening when trying to figure out what pollinates certain species in the wild 🤓
More videos like this! Love an imperfect plant. #reality
No such thing as a perfect plant anyway 😉
My plants live outside. So if they have holes it is usually some sort of insect or wind damage.
Where do you live?
@plantgayforlife I moved from the Netherlands to Paraguay, so that I can live in my own green bubble under the sun.
Love it! Living the dream!!!
Humidity is super low in my house right now so I have a lot of brand new flawed leaves like this 😅
Growing pains, am I right?
Thanks for the vid, Jake! Do you think a Pap might grow up a moss pole?
Absolutely! It might not be the prettiest aesthetic. Most people repot into a taller container as the stem extends and older leaves fall off.
Damaged leaves can actually look kinda cool, but I hate when the turn out deformed
What's your skin care routine 👀😍

If you get any FS seeds, I would love to buy a seedling from you
I’ll definitely try to pollinate it!😃
@@plantgayforlifeany update on the Black cygnets?
