You learned a lot nice work! With the Duplicolor 1K it is very important you start with a couple mist coats like the directions say. It won't look pretty, but it works. Then I went a little heavier on the third coat and a bit more on my final coat. If you spray too heavy it will craze. You can spray each coat ten minutes apart otherwise you have to wait two days. 😎👍
Thank you for this added information. I went to mix some 2K last night, But as soon as I opened it, the smell filled my small model room. I didn't quite dare to, although I do have a small air handler and an airbrush booth. Never used 2K though.
My comment is kind of a "me too" about the previous comment. I think timing and amount applied are two things that trip guys up with 2x. And its nozzle is designed to dispense a lot of paint for items larger than model cars, making applying paint to smaller items like model car bodies a challenge. When you start that T-Bird I may be inspired to build along with you.
