and for those who knew him in life, everyone says that he remained with his feet on the ground and that he did not have a big head and that he remained humble. for a player of this level to remain himself, these are truly the values of rugby. For us French as ambassadors we could not have dreamed better
My best pleasure after this post is to read the south hemisphere haters just hating! LOOOL Poor things! I used to respect them but not anymore with the pack of hooligans around them! Antoine is a great player with a great sport spirit and those trolls will never erase that! PS > By the way TY to our "old enemies" from England who are much more respectful about Antoine!
He is surely the most technical and intelligent player in the history of rugby. Add to that his athletic, attacking and defensive abilities, his versatility and consistency, and you have the prototype of the perfect rugby player.
7:35 He's so good he was crowned player of the 2026 championship. That's right, he makes his mark on tournaments he hasn't yet played, that's how good he is
"never seen a team rely on just one man like France do"... Well that's Dupont, which country wouldn't? If Dupont was Scottish or English or Welsh or... Would it be different?
As someone new to the sport, you watch him and he plays a bit freestyle, so he is bad to watch and continue the learning process, because some of the things he does don't align with the lessons he learns... But I guess all geniuses are like that, they don't conform to rules and norms...
Dupont suppose to be, for you in all international teams, the one who carry the XV by him self ? Youre insinuations are excessives ! What about Aldritt, Penaud, Mauvaka, N'Tamack, and so, and so...? I juste think you pretending French team doesn't know to play rugby or it's juste about to luck if we are at this level ! Your dreams arn't a reality !
The reason France beat the New Zealand was their game strategy, that to win they had to get rid of the best breakaway in the world, Josh Kronfeild, which they did in the first two rucks, by gouging his eyes out, leaving him almost blind for the first half. He had to be replaced. I guess they knew there was no other way. Sad way to play though. Ask him.
@zarg64 yeah like he ripped that ball away from a French prop to finish the quarter final ? Do you have any idea what it's like playing rugby in South Africa...huge violent men trying to kill you. Top 14 is the girls league in comparison.
@@jksinorbit Yes, we know very well that your players are loaded with products - that's why they rarely make it past 50Yrs - but if you don't buy referees, do you manage to win?
Aaron, TJ, Faf, George, Joost and Fourie might all be better than Dupont. All highly skilled 9s who have won the cup. Maybe he's singled out and rightfully so, because rarely does a European player exhibit his level of skill and passion without an excess of petulant nagging to officials and vitriolic gamesmanship towards opponents. In a SH team he would be seen as a standard good to excellent player, not a god among men like Lomu.
this guy is just in-cre-di-ble ! it's a privilege to live this era with Dupont...seeing him play is already legendary!
Antoine Dupont will remain in history books as the first the have British commentators pronounce the vowel “u” correctly!

Ah he's good, even great but I would choose Faf over him anyday, Faf has pure mongrel, fighter.
