The makers of Adipurush labelling any criticism as Anti-hindu is the most outrageous case of mass-gaslighting I have ever seen.
They tried their best in hoping that a politically charged movement for the film will deter people from criticising it.
Adipurush was more about making money on base of religious beliefs than actually putting efforts to making a decent movie 🤔
If anything, the movie itself is anti hindu😅
There are some RUclips channels propagating the same as well.
I was born into Hindu family but I don’t classify myself as Hindu BUT even I was offended by Adipurush. Ramanyana is a huge part of my childhood so I I was excited for this movie but I am just left offended and disappointed. I didn’t even have to watch the movie to be offended.
The only good thing about Adipurush is that it managed to unify the RW, LW, Hindus and muslims in thrashing this 600 crore money laundering scheme.
Jammy once said in a podcast with Shan Prashar that he would never make a video like this about worst movies of 2023 as it is not about the art. Jammy is such a hypocrite. Jammy should atleast be honest that you only care about money than art.

Also there are some teligu directors like koratala Shiva , kurana Karan etc. But Om Raut is just overconfident he can anything with prabhas and the movie script.

He's mostly working with his own circle of friends (like Priyadarshan, Jeethu Joseph, Shaji Kailas, Siddique, Unnikrishnan).Even Priyadarshan, Shaji Kailas and Jeethu Joseph can be forgiven, but Siddique's outdated formula really leaves audiences uninterested.
Correction-Actually Shaji Kailas also is outdated.
Both the MM & ML needs to leave the Ukri (B unnikrishnan) Cinematic universe!

What about Bhola Shankar? Mehermouli+Chiru past his prime are a combo for a massive matlab kuch bhi experience.

He also did original work like Acharya and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, but those bombed as well.

I think Bollywood makes cringe remakes. A movie like Jigarthanda is made into cringe Bachn panday, Ratsasan into Cuttputlli, Kshanam into baaghi 2 - all movies downgraded into cheap quality. And who can forget Rohit shetty's COPY cringe universe

For all "South movie fan craze" we must accept that females in southern movies are far worse due to the role they play of candy crush instead of having an input.. Atleast Bollywood has waken up regarding this

Bhalaya has his own set of fans who expect nothing but dual role, age gap heroins, over the top dialogues, and action . We just go to the theatre shout Bhalaya and cheer him its just a event for fans
But if he can provide at least something unique as recent as Akhanda, one should not commend and celebrate the films for the bare minimum

Anmol, please do a roundup of GOOD AND BAD OTT releases this year. There were a few which came out.
Not sure if you watch and review any English OTT releases (apart from the really awaited English movies like Barbie and oppenheimer) but would be good to see that too. It would be nice to know from you your take on these sort of releases which cover genres in English...even if not very detailed, a round up would be just interesting :)

Every industry has good and bad films..
Even great malayalam industry give biggest flops
But sometimes we only target hindi films...
I wish my malayalam industry comes back with a bang with some good screenplays...

8 of the 10 movies are from South and not from Bollywood which showed that its not only Bollywood that makes bad films... Its all about storytelling, scripts, dialogues, direction and many other factors that can make or break a film regardless of any industry.

South has 4 different industries each of the 4.industry is different if North had 4 or more industries like South imagine the number of disaster films😂

I just commented because people blame everything on Bollywood (Boycotting trend) and nowadays they hail South Indian movies very high, I grew up watching South Indian movies and they are my favourites but every industry has good and bad, we need to accept that.

As much as I point finger on Om Raut (the sole blamer of Adipurush fiasco), it is now time for Prabhas to get creatively involved in films he is doing, rather than just acting and walking out of films. Not every director is Rajamouli on whom you can trust blindfolded. If his movies are bashed so left, right and centre, ultimately he is getting targeted. He is such a big star now that he can demand involvement in films before signing. Pre Bahubali phase was different where he could do films and walk out. Now-a-days every producer cash on his stardom and releases his films nationwide. So you cannot just act and opt out like earlier days...

There were some Bollywood movies as well that I think could've make place in this list such as Shehzada and Gumraah. Both had a phenomenal cast but failed to deliver.

What I am saying is maybe not be liked by many and that is, Salman Khan is still relevant despite not being a good actor and his movies are still getting hit despite being cringeworthy and some other veterans like him who are also loved irrespective of their ability as good actors and projects they are associated with does show that bollywood and telugu movie industries in particular still have a good distance to cover to be called as a good movie industry as a whole.
