This series is awesome and shows the potential of a "planet ski" game. There isn't any competition. They could use the same "base" as planet zoo and planet coaster. I'm sure it would make a wonderful game... I would be the first to buy it. I hope Frontier is already working on it.
And you know he sounds a bit like the pokemon games when you use a fishing rod on land: "Rowan's words echoed... There's a time and place for everything, but not now."
I really recommend continuing with this project, I’m begging you. PLEASE. I am a fan and I really like ski resort projects in any video game. Can you please add parking lots, hotels, ski rentals and a park for people to just walk around. Also, please make a lift at the third mountain but make it run to an observation platform or something like that, don’t make that mountain skiable. It will be great if you add all that, especially some lodge hotels. LOVE THE SERIES
You shouldn't be surprised that people like watching your videos. People love to watch you build no matter whether you are building in Planet coaster or Planet zoo, I for one learn a lot every time. Keep building my friend!
In the case of the Poma lifts at the base of Serre Chavilier the control building is at the bottom with stop/start lights and a staff member stationed with the buttons stacking before going up. The larger Poma buttons ditch the stacking system but will still have a control box near the base of the lift.
What I love the most about this episode is the way this restaurant is build up. Instead of starting with the buildings and a roof and creating the wood-structure on that (like you did with the building down the valley), here you started with a very nice and detailed wood-structure and created the walls and roof to that structure. Not only is it a very beautiful process to watch (and very educational as well), it results in a building which looks very nice, detailed and overal more natural and clean. In that way I think this building has come out better than the building down the hill you made earlier (which is also very good in its own way cause now that has more or less a look like it's an older building). Very nice job there!
The way you building it, is so inspiring ! Good job and congrats for the serie, it's original. This game is pretty free for building things that we can build anything and you just prove it !
18:53 Made this whole video 1,000,000x better than the amazing quality it already was. Location, location, location. You sure know how to pick em, Silv.
15:36 your whole debate on what they're called. I usually just call them drag lifts. Then there would be different variants of drag lift. You have the button type, the T-bar type and then the continuous rope/cable type.
There is a restaurant in Courchevel that looks like this called La Secoupe but it has a bunch of lounge chairs and a fire pit, I feel like that would look good in that round part of the terrace
Please restart this series! Also, I'm gone skiing in America and for "bunny" slopes, they had a conveyor belt on the ground that you would stand on. I have heard of the disc you kind of sit on. Also, in America the easiest slope is green then blue then black (then double black).
the moment you mentioned the hohe salve, I love that skiing area, me and my parents went there every year up until the divorce and since then i also went on my own when i was old enough :D
Hey Silv, long time watcher here What i noticed with a lot of older restaurants, or buildings in general is that the old house is still intact, and with small windows and such but that the building is extended over time with big windows and specially designed for bigger capacity of people hope you could fit such a building somewhere have a nice one
I don’t feel the beam work is really over the top or a waste. Especially since it’s mostly duplication of previous work. It adds to realism, makes the building process a lot more interesting and roots it in a real architectural style/practice. If it’s not too much extra work I enjoy watching it come together like a real building.
When I see these videos I really hope that frontier someday will make a game like "planet ski" or similar.🤔 Would it be possible to build a large aerial tramway out of the pieces in planet coaster (not as a working cable car but more like the restaurants as scenery)?
WHERE ARE THE TRANSATS ?! Anyways, always cool to see your work. I do feel you when ppl ask why bother creating the structure to buildings. BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE FUN COME FROM!
This actually reminds a bit of the restaurant in Westendorf as it combines more older style with modern touches (there's is more modern than yours, and probably bigger but my gang ate outside as it was a nice summer day-they have hiking trails in the summer)
Ha. Have it so the snow disappears every summer and you have to run a bike park with the same layout! Maybe make it so you have to groom the snow to get better ratings.
Have you ever thought about trying out Unreal Engine? I mean you are so talented in creating buildings, sceneries, even whole maps and the options are limitless! Really would love seeing you giving it a try!
The reason why modern buildings have so large windows is not to show of.... Its because... nowdays.. windows are cheaper than wall. Having the window from celing to floor simply saves a lot of work
Hi, Actually, in france "Pomalifts" don't have any operator cabin at the top, there's only an emergency stop and an automatic stop ;) Will you put some "multiseasonnal activties" in your resort ? (rock climbing, zipline, season sledge etc) Nice video anyway !
Here’s an idea, if you want a nice shot, turn off collisions and build a coaster just beneath the ground and film the POV of the slopes and then delete the slopes it the coaster cars ruin the look
Nice building! Nice Building! Ok but more seriously, about the surface lift, they never have a cabin at the top. All the machinery is at the bottom and that's where you operate the lift (and where most people might need help). You often find an emergy stop button at the top tho, on a pole. But you could say the cabin is for ski schools to store some material..? Also, you'd need the slanted pole supporting the return pulley to be clear from the ground. In real life they have a counterweight hanging behind them in order to maintain the tension of the cable. See www.remontees-mecaniques.net/galerie/albums/photos_utilisateurs/11269/poulieretour2.jpg (PS: This is a king post)
Typical king post indeed. Thank you! I'll adjust it accordingly (though it'll be tough to fit in a counterweight ánd make a decent exit for the surface lift - the hill really is a bit steep for a surface lift exit.
That's not true. The ski area where I've been skiing since I was a child has at all 3 service lifts a cabin at the top, and at the bottom another smaller cabin, or only an emergency button on a pole
I enjoy this series just because Planet Zoo hasn't interested me too much. Y'all are building amazing things in it, but I just don't find Zoos as interesting as amusement parks.
Are you sure you shouldn't make this stuff in AutoCAD instead? You put so much effort into making realistic buildings, that you may as well make them functional for real.
These houses you make are too pretty to not have a interior, if you're really not doing it you should let someone else do it. like a parasite. You know someone like that?

A rare Double Intro! Its like a shiny pokemon... enjoy it while we can
Am here to witness.

Sorry guys, I edited this video at 3-4 am - enjoy the double intro while it lasts, until RUclips's done processing the changes :)
I do not have any particular interest in ski resorts, but I watch what you post because your skill at creation is an inspiration. Thank you!
Please do a part 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 years later and we're still waiting for Part 7

i always add details thinking, "no one will ever see this but _i'm looking at it right now"_
Do a part 7 please!!!!!!
I want a new ski lift 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😗
I just came back from "Brixen / Wilder Kaiser" and your Planet-Ski video is just perfect to stay in the mood.. xD
I think we've been close, I spent a day at Kirchberg :D
Oh, yeah. :D What a coincidence. Hope you had a great time as well

Double Intro? I feel so welcomed!
The detail you put in one building is epic.

The operators binding is at the top and the bottom in real life. Oh one more thing I love the series.
I love Taliko, I would really enjoy seeing you contribute to it!
Nice built ! Hope you can return in Stalevar too !!! Operateur made incredible work !

Reminds me of the sugar house at Okemo.
You should build a gladed piste!

If only we had the planet zoo weather in planco this would looks even more incredible! Sooooo good!
Make a part 7 to this plz!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really amazed by this project!
Will you make a map of the entire ski park in the end? That will be amazing 😄
I would totally stop for some goulash soup there!
Silvarret l do want you to make a part 7. I want you to build a 2nd gondola please
Nice!
You should make one of those water ramp things for the skiers. Also a mid-century modern build lmfao.
When I see these videos I really hope that frontier someday will make a game like "planet ski" or similar.🤔

I like the resort it's nice👍👌 u say that u don't build big mountains but i think a mountain with some rocks would be nice.
They should make a "Planet ski resort" and make is so that you can ski on the slopes.
Ha. Have it so the snow disappears every summer and you have to run a bike park with the same layout! Maybe make it so you have to groom the snow to get better ratings.
You forgot to put snow on the ski lift cabin’s roof BTW.
Double intro is the new single intro

I’ve just recently got really into skiing
Poma often has their operator hut at the base of their button lifts
can you please make more of the ski resort videos?
The reason why modern buildings have so large windows is not to show of.... Its because... nowdays.. windows are cheaper than wall.
Having the window from celing to floor simply saves a lot of work
Is it just me thinking that the g-forces in planco is higher than irl?
It's so nice
I’m actually from austria! But i don’t like skiing... ;p
But looks really good

Those flowers seem kinda misplaced tbh...
Still looks good tho!
will you link the planet coaster build you mentioned? free the bear i think you said?
Yep, I put it in the description! You can find the playlist here: ruclips.net/video/IevxkSiSgO8/видео.html
Please don't get my hopes up about you working on Taliko, unless you are for sure going to finish it.
What happened to the skyscraper building. I am early so... no pressure :)
Can I upload it to the creative workshop?
Here’s an idea, if you want a nice shot, turn off collisions and build a coaster just beneath the ground and film the POV of the slopes and then delete the slopes it the coaster cars ruin the look
this video is just Silv struggling with the fact that he has a descent frame rate
As an Architecture student, seeing a naked building is like porn
i cant find your steam page
Waar ga je skiën
You need to make a hotel
Are U from Austria?
Nice building! Nice Building!
