- Well we're banned from travelling abroad at the moment so I figured this might be the best way to fulfil my need for snow- designing the ultimate ski resort in Snowtopia! This is a game I have been after for many many years, and I'm so glad it's very close to being released.

Snowtopia is looking to be the long awaited proper ski resort tycoon game that we all have been longing for, well me atleast. You get an open area to play around with to your hearts content, sorry no naming of the resort or anything like that. But you do atleast get two different maps in Snowtopia. Rough around the edges with only being to do two types of skiruns (in size) and three different lifts. But what is there looks so promising.

You should try Winter Resort Simulator. It’s basically this game but hyper realistic and in first person. You get to operate the ski lifts and you can get a wide variety of ski lifts.

Fallen off a good many pole lifts on a snowboard. Best bit is when you slide down and take everyone else out who was happily making their way up.
This is why I usually just avoid them, seen many do this 😅

you can do the cup lifts with snowboards, it is a bit of a learningcurve to it but not too bad. you need to unattach the backfoot though

You can totally take a skilift with a snowboard. Trust me, I'm a skilift/chairlift operator :) But yeah, it's a bit more inconveniant for a snowboarder than a skier.

You may enjoy the Winterresort simulator, a game where you can also build your skiresort, but its a bit more realistic, you can controll the lifts, drive the pistenbully, etc.

Yes, J-bars don't work well with snowboards, but normally you'd have T-bars instead of J-bars anyway, which are generally fine. Still tricky as I know from experience, but doable.

I know the Frozen Peaks resort was done the way it was just to make a penis, but there are some changes I would make, personally (though I suppose they might ruin the visual design; I’m just weird).
First, since you made a slope leading from the left slope to the right, I feel like you should have something similar leading from the right to the left. Maybe slightly uphill from there? Or perhaps close to the top?
Second, I think there should be slopes coming from the two intermediate areas. Maybe some easier slopes or something. They just seem kinda isolated and weird to me as they are.
Third, I feel like maybe there should be another set of ski lifts on the opposite side of the slopes from the existing lifts to mirror them. There could be smaller, possibly easier slopes coming from those lifts.
Finally, to sort of enhance the design, I feel like there should be slopes to emphasize the balls’ shapes by dividing them from the shaft. They could be narrow so they don’t detract from the outline. Also, one of the balls seems to be misshapen. Maybe it had to do with the contour of the slope, but I think that it should’ve been rounder. And, while I’m at it, maybe the extra slopes I mentioned in previous suggestions could be used as hair or something. (God, I’m almost in my thirties. Why am I encouraging this?)
And while I’m offering suggestions, I think that in the first resort, there should be a beginner’s (green) slope or two somewhere to help improve the mood of the newbies and some full advanced (red) and/or expert (black) slopes to encourage advanced and expert skiers to come rather than just having the advanced and expert detours on intermediate (blue) slopes. Right now, your slopes seem to be catering almost exclusively to intermediate skiers with just a slight bit of catering to more skilled ones and not at all to beginners. Maybe there could be some additional slopes to and lifts from the other town to make that side of the resort more interesting and give more reasons for traveling between the two. The one town seems rather barren as is, with one or two ski lifts from it, one slope leading from its ski lift(s) back to the second town, one slope leading from its ski lift(s) to the first town, and one slope leading from the other’s ski lifts to the second town. I think it deserves more. Also, perhaps there should be flat slopes directly connecting either the towns themselves or the ski lifts from each town to each other to make getting from one to the other possible for skiers of any skill level. I’m assuming that lifts can carry skiers both uphill and downhill.
I’d go with the same editor again, he did pretty good
