We do not use a cable box, so that has not happen to us.. BUT I did experience something like that when I used the Pandora app’ but it wasn’t that big of a deal’ this soundbar has a few kinks it could improve on, but overall for the price I think it’s great 👍
I just got this and im incredibly impressed by the sound bar .. but lpcm is better than dolby digital and is comparable to ddhd or dts master hd this is why there is no setting on the xbox for these formats because they are limited to 5.1 or 7.2 respectively .
I’m glad you got the soundbar, it is pretty awesome. As for pcm, it does sound good to me on regular tv or whatever doesn’t support any Dolby format, but for my sound likes, anything Dolby is always an upgrade. I’m glad you like it though. Dts surround is one of the bitstream options on the Xbox though. Let me know what you think and let’s compare notes.....
I also think the sound bar sounds better when it switches from PCM to Dolby Surround. You can literally hear the difference in everything, bass, vocals, music, ect. Side note = Avengers Endgame sounds incredible on this sound bar 😂👍

@@PapaJohn1969 well, we have only had this system for two months. So far so good 😊 can’t complain at all. I do believe it sounds better then the Bose, but to credit the Bose, the Bose Dialogue is probably the second best of all soundbars. We have not owned a Bose, we only tested it
Do you know if there’s a reset on our Sound Bar. For some reason the eARC on my Sound Bar doesn’t work and I can’t get the WiFi to connect on the Bar. I tested the Bar and my TV arc and it’s the sound bar. My connect on my TV will not acknowledge the Sound Bar. Got any suggestions? The eArc is the only hdmi that’s not working. Thanks, Gary
Our particular Sony does not have eArc as well, and we were with an optical cord for the first 2 weeks, until I researched the update. Now to my understanding as well as what we experienced, we hooked up our internet modem directly to the back of the soundbar via an Ethernet connection, and after about 10 seconds, The soundbar read on its display “updating”, after the display just read 2 lines, I hooked it up via hdmi from the eArc connection of the soundbar directly to the back of the our Sony’s arc connection. It worked perfectly and we couldn’t have been happier. I am also to understand, that in your wifi settings and connections on any smart device, laptop, tablet, iPad or phone, you will Onn soundbar as one of the selections and there you can also connect and update as well. As for a reset button, I am not sure of that. I know that it’s pretty easy, and I would advise to hook it straight up from your modem via Ethernet to the back of the soundbar. Best way for me. Hope this helps. Stay safe and positive

Curious if you guys experience that as well. Overall I like the performance of the sound bar just want it to perform 100%. Thanks!
@@tinyBIGDOG we love this movie. Yes, that was one of the first ones we saw when we got this sound bar 3 weeks ago! 😂 dang, what a coincidence
I’m not sure if you noticed this or not, in this video in the upper right hand side it says 6 days remaining
Oh yes, for the headset we had the free trial. For the headset it charges $14.99 a month. The Dolby for the soundbar is free, I just verified anyways just in case 😂 thanks for the heads up 😊
@@jessrick3096 You said that you had a Bose system and the Onn system sounded better. We are wanting a Dolby Atmos and want to make sure it lasts a long time. Thanks for the videos.
@@jessrick3096 I updated from my iPhone yesterday and now they eArc is not working. Can you believe that?????? I guess I’ll return it to Walmart and exchange it for another one. I bought it in December around Christmas so I would think that they would exchange it for another one don’t you? Gary
@@garybell2886 I really don’t know what to tell you there, I do not know what type of television you currently have, but my advice before you take back the soundbar, is to actually connect something to the eArc connection like a Blu-ray player or a streaming player to see if that connection is actually faulty or not working as you described previously. Let us know, we are rather intrigued by your situation
@@jessrick3096 I guess I could hook my ultra Roku and see if it works. You think so? Gary
@@garybell2886 I would. Playing process of elimination here. Let’s see what happens
Buy it a couple of weeks ago and returned it. Worked for one day. Second day it stayed at WELCOME. Tried for about an hour to make it work. Nothing worked. Returned it next day
Sorry you got a defective one 🙁
Yeah, before i updated mine, i plugged it into the ARC and 3mins into the movie the picture and sound just went out. I updated it and its been ok since. I swear i think its the update, its probably running on old firmware, and its buggy. But they don't inform you to do on that.
@@tinyBIGDOG this is exactly what happened when I purchased this item. Everything ran great for two minutes and then nothing. I could not get past welcome on the lcd display and AirPlay was a no go. My iPhone kept telling me it was an unsupported device and I tried wifi as well as hard wired. I finally gave up and took it back. This is always what scares me about these types of devices. Hardware and features are great but software is hot garbage.
@@jimmybroady4219 Yes, i definitely agree about the software, they need to better service the software, i also have noticed if you run ARC with the HDMI you need a quality cable. With all that information running though it my picture would go out when the action got heavy on screen. I have a 8k HDMI cable now and haven't had that issue since. Also the customer service number goes to Wal-Mart which is clueless about tech support, so tinker with it yourself or take it back, just my opinion.✌😁
Yea we got a high quality cable , fixed a lot
Does it have WiFi ?
It has the option, but to tell you the truth it really makes no difference. It does nothing on wifi.
@@jessrick3096 my router box is too far away to hook up Ethernet cord soon as I connect it WiFi mine updated . It works well and you guys were right it sounds amazing. I almost didn’t buy cause it was from Walmart. But with your review I thought I need give a chance and buy it I’m glad I did very happy with this onn soundbar it rocks thanks for your review it help me buy this soundbar
@@winton9108 awesome! Glad it worked for you through wifi, ours did not!! Glad, you took our advice!! We still do not regret the decision. LOVE IT!!
Have you guys had the issue with it turn off w the tv ? When I use my tv remote or direct tv remote to power off everything the sound bar won’t turn off unless I use the onn remote same with turning it on have use the onn remote
@@winton9108 yes that’s one of the pet peeves that is annoying. It only works to turn on and off with the Onn remote
The Dolby access app. I paid for it cause I use my Xbox more than anything. But u might wanna double check cause it told me the atmos was only free for a few months. I’m gonna double check myself
It said it was for the headset I believe, I’m going to check. But if it does charge the 11$ I’m gonna keep it cuz it’s awesome
@@jessrick3096 hell yes it is. Also has dolby vision features and dolby atmos for Pv included
Would it sound good and get the atmos effect in a open floor plan with 12-15 ft ceilings
I would think so
@@jessrick3096 Hey recently got this sound bar, had to return it because it didn’t do the Atmos for some movies through my Xbox. I have a feeling I just needed to update it like you did. Might give it a second chance. But my question is do you have any audio delay issue? Like even at a split second, I had a lot of that whit this sound bar, the lips just did not match with the words? If you had that issues did you fix it, or just live with it?
@@ThreeFingers316 we did have it at first, then after the update it stopped. The xbox, we got the Dolby app and it fixed the issue
@@jessrick3096 ok. Cool good to know. Thanks I’ll have to give it another try. I really did enjoy it.
