Holy shit this slaps!!! Shoji Meguro was such a fucking beast in the late 2000s gaming world. Don't get me wrong his soundtracks are still amazing but that 2006-2009 sweetspot of the shit he composed was just masterful.

Because people don't like the action RPG style... it feels weird afterall & also hard to get used with the style ( SA being a really bad game it's slow & the story is meh... while King Abaddon become a masterpiece thankfully ), I feel sad that Raidou himself so popular but his game not appreciate a lot

I love how this theme kinda has a somewhat cheesy almost anime-like feel. With 0:39 kinda sounding like the moment the villain has the hero on the ropes. And 0:48 sounding like the moment where the hero has some sort of motivational flashback that gives him the edge to push on. Or even some of Raidou's demons giving him motivational words, whether it is something like Orthrus going "MASTER CAN DO IT!!!" Or Moh Shuvuu straight up yelling in a very high-pitched voice "Akiramenaide!/Dont Give Up! JOUHEI!!!" (Jouhei being Raidou's real name.)

P3P was my first game from the SMT Series. And I have to say, I'd have much preferred this theme for the Tartarus Bosses than what we actually got. P3 does have some great tracks, but damn do these older games have some good stuff going on. Both Raidou Kuzunoha vs. and the Digital Devil Saga games have a number of amazing tracks I wish we could just swap in. I wonder if P5 might do something like that?
Aw man, I love Master of Tartarus. It's a great contrast to Master of Shadow. I think this theme works for the time that Meguro was composing for, and could be seen in Persona 4 as an alternate "I'll Face Myself", which fits for the story of King Abaddon.
Alpha Johne yeah, but it’s got awful cutscene desync and gameplay slowdown. Better to just emulate tbh. It’s like atlus doesn’t want us to play these fantastic games
@@alphajohne3676 Are we talking about the Playstation Store here? Because searching "Kuzunoha" or "Devil Summoner" there only nets me the DLC costume packs for Persona 5. This man can defeat all Persona Protagonists. They only have fake weapons and swords, and are new to the whole Persona. MEANWHILE, Raidou has been training all his life.
