I did tons of research and obviously could not spend the ridiculous money for yeti, even if they are $100 cheaper because the next model is about to be released. I really liked your review and found this same one at a local Academy for $79 on clearance. I jumped on it and tried it this last weekend. Mild winter in Houston, low mid 60's and high the next day of 84. It kept ice for two days in these milder conditions. exactly what I wanted and needed. My friend just bought one today. Thanks!
Nice! I've used it for so many trips over the past year and it has been perfect. I sold off the Yeti, because it wasn't worth the price, and reaching in that small space was ridiculous. Thanks for watching!
Great review. Can you do another test with the both coolers fully loaded with ice & a six pack to get a true head to head test. Air is a coolers' worst enemy next to high temps. I think you will find that fully loaded at the start of the test, they will retain ice much longer probably. Great partial test though. Goodbto see someone doing this test with the two best soft coolers on the market.
I'd love to see Polar Bear replace that mesh pocket with a molle panel. There are so many inexpensive molle pouches I'd be able to attach to it. First aid/trauma kits. Water bottle pouches. Utility pouches. The possibilities are endless.
I wish there was a real test. Like 20 water bottles with ice. How do you pack that? I called polar bear abt their 12 can pack and to fit 4 water bottles I was told to fill up ziplock bags with water and put them flat in freezer in order to fit my bottles.
i have the yeti 20 dont use it because of the zipper opening to small like putting your arm in a sharks mouth. i ordered online so i never got to look at if i had seen in store i would not have bought it. Is made well though
It looks like the Polar Bear has better bang for the buck. Your review does show some bias, as you seem to have a predetermined outcome from the beginning, doubting the Yeti's ability to compete throughout the process.
I wouldn't call it bias, more like an educated prediction. After seeing several companies stainless steel tumblers outperform the Yeti Rambler, for a fraction of the cost, I realized that Yeti was charging a premium for their name, not the tech behind their products.

Does it fold or compact for easy storage in the back of a car? Nice review on a nice cooler bag.
Both are excellent coolers. But the polar bear is cheaper and performance is great.
Does it float if its filled with drinks and ice?

Yeah that's a good idea, I find that I don't have much use for the mesh pocket, now that I've used the cooler for a whole season.
Exactly!
Is that a shoulder strap on the Polar Bear?

Great review, need to get a soft side cooler.
How has your H2O been holding up? Do you still recommend it for a durable, waterproof cooler? Thanks
Absolutely. A few years in and it still looks new, and keeps ice forever. I even ran it over with an SUV by accident and it didn't even phase it.

Not saying either is better but aren't you going to have a biased review when Polar Bear gave you a free cooler to review for them?
All of my reviews are unbiased, regardless of how I receive a product. Yeti sent me the Hopper as well.
+SpeedyTech Solutions how did you get them to send you the coolers to test?
Michael McCombs I just asked them.
Ask them to send you one for me....I am a Polar Bear junkie....thanks for the great review....this cooler is the bomb....
polar bear cooler looks better

Nice Job!

Strud Nash I’m wondering about where it’s made. Made in USA? With USA materials? Or, is it made in USA with imported materials? Or...? Thank you
