    Here's my question. This mouse can be linked to three different computers. So I link it to my main computer. Then lets say I need to reset my computer back to factory status. Now I need to pair up this mouse again. Does this mean I will need to use a different connection point or can I still use the first point where it was originally set up? I hope that's the case because otherwise what's going to happen if I reset my computer more than three times? Will that make the mouse un-pairable because I have already used the three link points?

    This was a well-done review of the potential reasons not to buy this mouse, though a bit repetitive (probably could have been just 7 or 8 minutes long). It's refreshing that you spoke very clearly and did not bother with background music, which I often find distracting.
    The only warning that applies to me is the one about the white color, and I've heard that complaint from several people now. I'll take your advice and avoid the white.
    I know you didn't intend to show anything onscreen, but I'm watching reviews mostly to find out whether all those buttons work without the Logitech software, because that software doesn't run on Linux, making it unusable to me. But hopefully the buttons have useful functions right out of the box.

    A mouse is either ergonomic or ambidextrous. It can't be both :D. It either fits the right hand perfectly or both hands acceptably because to fit both hands equally, it will sacrifice ergonomy on either hand. Logitech has ambidextrous mice like the G305 or the g pro. What they're never going to do is a left-hand-only mouse because that would be a shot in the foot, regarding sales. But it is kind of obvious even before you buy it that it will not fit left-hand persons since its design is noticeably adapted to the right-hand ... A piece of advice. Do NOT use alcohol to clean rubberized surfaces because you will soon have a sticky dissolving mess after a year or so where the rubber is. Eventually it will be sticky dissolved anyway but the alcohol in those wipes will greatly accelerate this process. Use only a microfiber cloth moist with distilled water. Regarding the white surface getting dirty, would this be different with any other white product out there? Isn't it also something that we know before buying the product, that it will show dirt more easily than dark colors? Or does that material catch dirt more than other white materials?

      The rubberized material catches makeup exceptionally well… we got a black version and it got dirty looking within a month. Based on my extended experience using Logitech, their quality has degraded by using cheaper clickers in recent high end mouse designs, but I get folks will still flock to it because they are the most popular brand. Once trying some other brands of mice design and using an optical clicker switch will never look back at Logitech again. I still have my G305 as a backup and travel mice it works fine.

      @@TheGizmoGarage Yeah, to be honest I don't like this mouse either but for a different reason - its sensor is trash compared to the G502 (and G305) 12k sensor which is ridiculous considering this should be the flagship. If you are used to a mouse like the g305 which has the same sensor as the G502 12k, you will probably also notice how harder it is to hit your targets with this one by comparison. That one did it in for me. On top of that, it additionally doesn't have a DPI button (also unlike the G502) and it can't even save its settings (including DPI settings) in internal memory (also unlike the g502) which means you can't have it properly tuned in corporate PCs where the settings are locked. The only redeeming quality that made me choose not to return it was its "flow" ability to work simultaneously with 3 PCs (provided you can install its software on said PCs which isn't possible on many work/company PCs).

    Hello, I have seen that pale gray over time it turns yellow. What about yours? Did it turn yellow?

    • @TheGizmoGarage
      @TheGizmoGarage  8 месяцев назад

      It attracts dirt and discolor rather quickly if your hand sweats a lot, as sweat turns it yellow.

    1) if you use your left hand, do not buy a right handed mouse
    2) if you like clicky buttons, do not buy a silent mouse
    3) white color gets dirty more easily than the dark colors...
    thanks, captain obvious!

      1. It was for my wife (and some people don't realize it's left hand even if it is obvious to captain obvious (such as yourself)!
      2. You won't know till you start clicking.
      3. I had white IKEA desk that kept itself clean for years, not minutes, DOH!
      X-D
      Cheers.

    i bought this one only because of silent clicker, and the only grudge i have is that i cannot update firmware.

    • @TheGizmoGarage
      @TheGizmoGarage  9 месяцев назад

      There really isn't any need to upgrade the firmware on these, but there are also other silent-clicking Logitechs available on the market that cost less!
