Though I do think that a version where For the Dawn plays for one loop between each part would also be really neat.
@@narius_jaden215Claude has the lowest HP of all the chapter 4 bosses. The reason being: at every quarter of his HP, he will summon "phantoms" of bosses throne has fought, and he will temporarily exit the fight. At 25% health, he will summon phantoms of Throne and Marrietta. But if you lower his HP too fast, he might not get a chance to summon these proxy bosses.
Castti's final boss is probably my fav because *SPOILER* they used the purple rain (max hp poison) really well. Best theme I think goes to Temenos or Hikari. Temenos because the tempo goes wild for some reason and Hikari because it felt so grand. The music is an overall improvement from OT 1 which I thought wasn't possible, the bar was set VERY HIGH already.
it really gives the feeling of "what the hell is happening? This can't be the final battle, there is something much bigger happening in the shadows, the truth is still hiding out there!"
A lot of these videos have comments that complain about how Song of Hope doesn’t fit along with all the other themes. I actually love Song of Hope and I think it’s just as wonderful as The Journey for Everything Else Ends. This video transitions into Song of Hope from The Journey for Happiness Ends and from Song of Hope to The Journey for Freedom Ends nicely
Even though Agnea had my least favourite of the stories, the chapter 5 was insanely cool. The music works so well. It was also the first final chapter I did so the fight was legitimately hard for me. I loved it.
Oswald was the weakest for me. Funny, because his C1/2 were so good, but then... Nothing special until the last one. He is a good character, but his journey didn't do well for me. Agnea on the other hand, had a pure touch and maybe I liked because I'm an artist as well and found relatable points. Had good messages
Even the true Villains spell out Octopath, its a thing they do in every Octopath game. Both the Heroes and the Villains will have names that put in order spell out Octopath because both the heroes and villains are Octopath travelers.
The music alone brings this game another level of enjoyment. It adds character (especially personality to each of the cast), energy, suspense-- everything.
I doubt it was random to put H warrior class at the end. The theme saying kingship and friendship so like saying "all together lets end this" . Each theme is telling their story and like all combined to one where Hikari is coming the last and giving them the hope and the strength of unity.
@@atew8277 Well, if they kept they word they wouldn't since yours have a gameplay footage. Unless they take it down because the footage doesn't cover the whole video.
Seen a lot of people more fond of the version without Song of Hope in there, but truth be told I love the flow from Agnea > Throne > Hikari just as much as the Castti > Temenos > Osvald > Partitio segment. And Ochette starting it off is also perfect. I just love everything about this.
Whenever I fought the bosses, even though I was overleveled I tried to beat them with the main character of that story. The one one that actually gave me trouble was Castti's because I took too long. Throne's was the easiest, didn't even see the second form and he died after two counter attacks (set up on him foreverything else)
Castii's is easy if you have Drastic Measures and a Merchant in your party. Use a max BP harmful concoct and use all the debuffing items, have merchant donate BP back, debuff his defense(with a thief or something), buff Castii's attack(there are a few ways to do this), and....boom. Nuke.
@@optimaltt6070 Drastic Measures was so satisfying to use that I pretty much never took Castti off the party. By the time I got to everyone's end bosses, most of the fights ended in the *second or third turn with a "WITH THESE HANDS" followed by the boss getting cleaved in half and tapped for their remaining 1 hp after the mandatory story exchange.
My favorites will be Hikari -> Osvald -> Temenos -> Partitio = Ochette. Especially Hikari and Osvald, their theme combine with their story has the heavy "It finally comes down to this, the showdown. For all that had happened, the path that cross between you and me, it shall ends right here right now." and it super epic. I guess it's because their final boss are the one who they knew from the start that they swear to defeat. Honor mentions: Temenos: I just love his theme combine his personality and his detective story vibe. Partitio: passionate and stylish, his theme is really cool. Ochette&Castti&Throne: a different kind of epic, an end to the story as compare to Kiari and Osvald. Agnea: the most unique one with vocal, it's beautiful but not as dramatic as the others. But it's still very good.
Aside from this awesome soundtrack, the final boss of Ochette, Osvald, ans Agnea hits very differently. As soon as the soundtrack changes, you will get a brand new skill. I just wish the mechanic was applied to all of them.

@@Trix_are_for_kids No, I didn't play Fates. I could play Awakening and Echoes but not Fates. I've seen and read a lot about them but I'm yet to play them.
@@r.c.c.10 In my opinion, Fe Fates has one of the best ost out of the fire emblem games.
Osvald's version goes so damn hard, easy favorite for me.
The beat drop mixed with Harvey going absolute ape-shit was the biggest highlight of the game for me
Osvald: But some things do change. _I_ have changed. *his theme SLAPS*
Me: DAAAAAAAAAAMN
Amazing work, getting the transitions to be so seamless. Wehn I first realised every character had their own theme mixed into For the Dawn, I knew it wouldn't be long until somebody went ahead and combined them all into one track.
Though I do think that a version where For the Dawn plays for one loop between each part would also be really neat.
I think someone did that here:
on.soundcloud.com/mB5zF
Temenos' theme very appropriately sounds like it could be the theme song for a Sherlock tv show
The transition from Castti -> Temenos -> Osvald -> Partitio was mwah 👩🏽🍳 💋
Everyone expect Agnea
@@cheddarsunchipsyes8144I mean it uses a different song so transitioning to it would be hard
Thanks for this, seriously this game is epic with his musics
me finding out I dogwalked Claude and didn't see any of those forms
Same
He had forms?
@@narius_jaden215Claude has the lowest HP of all the chapter 4 bosses.
The reason being: at every quarter of his HP, he will summon "phantoms" of bosses throne has fought, and he will temporarily exit the fight. At 25% health, he will summon phantoms of Throne and Marrietta.
But if you lower his HP too fast, he might not get a chance to summon these proxy bosses.
@@TheHammerGuy94 i litteraly only saw pirro's phantom, and killed claude the next turn. lategame hikari is scary as hell man.
@@robertthectasame with Osvald
One True Magic is absurd
Castti's final boss is probably my fav because *SPOILER* they used the purple rain (max hp poison) really well.
Best theme I think goes to Temenos or Hikari. Temenos because the tempo goes wild for some reason and Hikari because it felt so grand. The music is an overall improvement from OT 1 which I thought wasn't possible, the bar was set VERY HIGH already.
Transition music from Temenos to Osvald.... then goes to Partitio.
Damn, never thought that would be sound bandass!!
1:54
This moment, i can just imagine Tenemos repeatedly snapping his fingers to hit Kaldena with an elemental barrage
I love how sinister Temenos's final movement is.
it really gives the feeling of "what the hell is happening? This can't be the final battle, there is something much bigger happening in the shadows, the truth is still hiding out there!"
WE MAKIN IT OUTTA VIDANIA WITH THIS ONE ‼️‼️‼️
Castii soundtrack is so sad when that piano hit
2:55 that is one of the coolest transitions I've ever seen
Imagine if Osvald and Partitio's crossed path had a boss fight that combined their themes
Yeah I think most people find it jarring hearing sudden vocals kick in.
I just realize that I skipped a phase in Throne's final chapter. Mother and Father never appeared. I was breaking the game at that point tho
Same - half my squad was over level 70 at that point 😅
Same, apparently Pirro, Marietta, and another version of Throné show up to fight as well.
Same
I one shot the boss with hikari. I was like "that all ? 🤨"
I made it until Pirro and Mother and Father, Marietta never appeared because I beat Claude before that
Even though Agnea had my least favourite of the stories, the chapter 5 was insanely cool.
It’s cool how the order of the themes spells Octopath.
Ochette
Castti
Temenos
Osvald
Partittio
Agnea
Throne
Hikari
Even the true Villains spell out Octopath, its a thing they do in every Octopath game. Both the Heroes and the Villains will have names that put in order spell out Octopath because both the heroes and villains are Octopath travelers.
making hikari's the finale of them all makes more EXPLOSIVE than it already is. i fxking love this game's ost 😭
Temenos' final battle theme hits HARD and then it double timed wtf
Agnea truely a light in the darkest age❤❤
Gotta love that buildup to 5:30
The music alone brings this game another level of enjoyment. It adds character (especially personality to each of the cast), energy, suspense-- everything.
It's wonderful and epic game, the real final is emotive for the context and ambience!!! (And this Sound !WoW¡)
If I could I'd wipe my memory cause damn this game was awesome. Those surprise twists at the end.
Hikari’s theme just feels so powerful it’s my favorite one.
I doubt it was random to put H warrior class at the end. The theme saying kingship and friendship so like saying "all together lets end this" . Each theme is telling their story and like all combined to one where Hikari is coming the last and giving them the hope and the strength of unity.
Huh, never saw that phantom attack when I fought Claude. Then again I hit him so hard before Throne's theme played that he died after they talked lol.
He turned into Pirro for me when I got that far.
@@LiamGers-cx1kn If you let him live long enough, he also turns into a Mother/Father duo
Octopath's gameplay is just "Wait, this boss can do thing? I killed it in three turns"

Oh hey, the algorithm finally decided to work on your video. Congrats!
Yeah it did, I hope it's not a target for Square Enix now lol
@@atew8277 Well, if they kept they word they wouldn't since yours have a gameplay footage. Unless they take it down because the footage doesn't cover the whole video.
I loved them all but be Hikari's song just has this epicness to it that feels so high stakes
Seen a lot of people more fond of the version without Song of Hope in there, but truth be told I love the flow from Agnea > Throne > Hikari just as much as the Castti > Temenos > Osvald > Partitio segment. And Ochette starting it off is also perfect.
I just love everything about this.
Oh you absolute king/queen, its so good
Love this soundtrack... My favorite parts here are Partitio's, Ochette's, Osvald's and Agnea's
Battle at journey ends and now The journey for everything ends, very very good job Yasunori Nishiki
I followed every step as you showed in the video and i'm very surprised by how this hack works! Thank You!
Honor mentions:
Temenos: I just love his theme combine his personality and his detective story vibe.
Partitio: passionate and stylish, his theme is really cool.
Ochette&Castti&Throne: a different kind of epic, an end to the story as compare to Kiari and Osvald.
Agnea: the most unique one with vocal, it's beautiful but not as dramatic as the others. But it's still very good.
u did a amazing job, this is my favorite version of the final ch battle theme :D
Aside from this awesome soundtrack, the final boss of Ochette, Osvald, ans Agnea hits very differently. As soon as the soundtrack changes, you will get a brand new skill. I just wish the mechanic was applied to all of them.
Amo este juego y todo lo que me hizo sentir mientras lo jugaba
I will say this, pretty much everyone’s individual stories are better than the originals whole story.
Honestly the original barely even has a whole story
Not Agneas
@@Magnasword2 yeah but the theme banger
Everyone's story is fantastic, except for Agnea. Holy shit, her's is far too cheesy and feel good, it's straight up cringe to me.
@@FabzP96 This is how I expected to feel about Agnea. 5 minutes into her chapter 1 I was full on "you are precious and I must protect you at all costs" mode

Listening to this gives me life. Goddamn I forgot how good the OST is, especially in this part of the game
I wish I could forget about this game just to play it again 😁
Really well done transitions man! I enjoyed this alot. Have a good day!
It's fitting to have Hikari and Throne's themes back to back after playing the post-game
not Partitio with the Vegito yossha pose ready to punch a train, love that man
Dang, most of them flow together incredibly well, that aside...am I the only one who thinks Temenos' final boss looks a bit like the Dancer of Boreal Valley?
Funnily enough someone had just commented that like a day ago
@@atew8277 Huh, guess I just missed it then, thanks for answering personally ATEW
My brother who's a backseat driver also said the same thing lol
What I love is that the main villains for each hero, that when put in the same order as the heroes as OCTOPATH they spell HTAPOTCO its reverse just like saying the god's names in the reverse order brings misfortune. FYI the main villain isnt always the heroes' story final boss sometimes it is tho like Harvey for Osvald, but Mugen isnt for Hikari since he doesn't fit in the OCTOPATH order and isnt the true villain for Hikari
SPOILERS FOR LITERALLY THE ENTIRE GAME BELOW
It works, but you have to switch Throné/Temenos and Osvald/Ochette compared to the official OCTOPATH order.
Osvald/Harvey
Castti/Trousseu
Temenos/Arcanette
Ochette/Petrichor
Particio/Ori
Agnea/Tanzy
Throné/Claude
Hikari/Oboro
Yes, Squeenix made a mistake in the official order.
Edited so people can hopefully actually see the spoiler warning before expanding the comment
This is some galaxy brain anagram play
This is so hype
Well, technically Agnea's shouldn't be included here. She doesn't have a "Journey for X Ends" theme but instead she gets Song of Hope. The journey for hope is neverending, because she's not set out to obtain it but to spread it.
What theme does she share in the angel dulcinea battle?
@@deGoomyan5538 it's been some time so I don't really remember. It should be Dolcinea's theme at first, then a transition iirc, then song of hope
@@alasdaresineaeris2772 i just looked it was just the generic “for the dawn” for the first phase of the final bosses. Thank you tho
as cool as song of hope is, i kind of wish that there was an extra phase to the dolcinea fight where they could put the journey for applause ends. then again, it does make sense; dolcinea and agnea aren't actually fighting, so it fits better. doesn't change the fact that i want my cool version of agnea's theme
I want this medley to play in my funeral. It's just too beautiful

I think Osvald is my favorite in that particular art because of his location. It’s hilarious.
@@Anonymous_Individual Is it because of the direction he's staring in? It's that, isn't it? From that spot, he's staring at Throne's ass(or trying hard to avoid staring at Temenos' ass)
After listening to all of these, Hikari's is my favorite, but I feel like Ochette's feels the most natural. As in, it sounds the most like the rest of the soundtrack and if there was only one verison of this song, it would probably be hers.
Beautiful
You know, this does kind of make me wonder what The Journey for Hope Ends would have sounded like.
Someone had been playing Fromsoft games when they were coming up with Kaldena's boss fight. Look at her and tell me you'd be surprised about fighting her in Bloodborne or Sekiro.
Mugen too.
Couple comments have said she looks like Dancer of the Boreal Valley. I can see the resemblance.
