Fletcher's brutal honesty takes the committee by surprise, as he unabashedly points out their flaws, insecurities, and shortcomings. From exposing their hypocrisy and self-importance to highlighting their lack of integrity and competence, Fletcher leaves no stone unturned. The scene is a comedic tour de force, showcasing Jim Carrey's impeccable timing and physicality as he delivers a rapid-fire barrage of insults and observations. For a guy who started laughing after being insulted that way, he seems pretty cool! Lol
He had 3 main choices
1. Become the laughing stock of the office
2. Fire the lawyer on the spot (.which that his own boss was trying to do ) the ridiculously stupid bitch
3. Laughing 😀😄😅😆 like there's no tomorrow
the boss picked option 3.
It's similar to johnny within the original kar8kid film installment
He came out of the bathroom after getting soaked with water like a total mental case especially since he didn't see or know he sprayed him with water wanting to use violence, unstability and aggression against others especially danny in order to manipulate and gain advantage to escape or perhaps even worse - solve his own life personal problems.
The boss there did the correct thing - even throughout the film, liar liar
He did say he loves a good roast
Seems cool but he was all about business and making money though in the end lol

A man who knows who he is can laugh at the truth.
Jim Carrey's prime, absolutely hilarious. His energy was unmatched
Robin Williams.
Thank you! Good to know there’s actually someone out there with taste
That scene was so funny
@@Elamado97 Jim also was made out of completely rubber. That's something that Robin couldn't do, and I'm sure that he's not ashamed of it either. He knows where he stands comedically. What Jim lacks is the ability to play serious roles and be taken seriously for such roles. Can't see Carey in "Good Will Hunting".
@@TheMidnightModder Robin Williams was unbearable
"Simmons is old!"
That's the best one.
Same 😂
Yup. His delivery has such punch. lol
S***!!!!
He can’t stay home cause he hates his wife!
@@zildog In Spain they dubbed as a "Vixen".
_Imagine if they all laugh and at the end Allan says: "That was really nice Fletcher.... you're fired."_
@GBProductions84 someone just discovered _italics_
That would be in real world haha.
Lol, I read that sentence with Jameson's voice in Spiderman
Now this is how you subvert expectations
@@ATalkingBadger 💀😂 bruh
“Simmons is old.” Best insult.
In Spain they dubbed: "He is a relic!"
Meanwhile, Simmons' reaction: 👁👄👁
The most epic comedic scene ever. Jim Carrey is unmatched.
It is fantastic! I’ve never seen this but I’m going to now. I am becoming convinced JC is the greatest comedian of my generation
He's an awkward and obnoxious man-child who makes children look like adults.
For those of you who are too young to have seen this movie in theatres, you should know that this scene drew so much laughter from the audience that it was actually quite challenging to hear the movie. Some of the loudest laughter I've ever heard.
Yeah I remember when I saw this on screen, the whole theater room was full of loudness laughter. Nobody could hold it together. I bet some where about to pee in their pants
Also when he's beating himself up in the bathroom. I was a kid when we saw this movie, I couldn't stop laughing!
yeah because we hated our inside jobs then and still do.... I felt free and laughed and stood up and yelled my ass off... I am mad as hell and not gonna take this anymore!!! and everyone was laughing I felt so damn good with this movie and YES MAN also
2:46 the way he laugh to annoy her is fantastic!
Yeah like haha bitch thought you had me fired... haha karma back in your face 🤣
She was hoping he'd get fired
2:45 I want to know how she manages to keep a straight face?
@@guypeate3628
they stuck a stick up her ass to actually piss her off
That was the cherry on top. He had me rolling when he did that, only Jim Carrey, dude is legendary!🤣
Props to the actress for keeping a straight face! Now that is talent!
I wonder how many times they had to re-shoot that scene.
@@BenZedrene hundreds lol
Amanda Donohoe, lotta props there
She ended up playing a character in a UK soap then got killed off 😂
2:45 how does she manage to keep a straight face? I wonder how many times they had to shoot this scene
I'm so envious he got to roast his entire law firm and disarmed his enemy all in one swoop. And What's funny is they actually thought he was joking the whole time never felt so satisfied yet somehow jealous lol I felt that lol
The blonde lady at the end didn’t get ripped on. Maybe she’s the only one Fletcher genuinely liked.
Naw. She was the one he called a slut. I believe it cut over to his boss so you could see her reaction to her plan backfiring right in front of her
I bet if that happened in real life he would have been fired
Cuz comedy it's only funny because it's true
A realistic movie would be Jim saying "today's not a good day for me" and staying home.... movie would be 3 minutes and he told the truth so it works
“Today’s not a good day for me” would not be enough to get him out of court...
@@SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333 He could say “I don’t feel well”
@@mechadoggy That would be a lie though he can't lie
@@miketherunner764 I wouldn’t say it’s a lie. I would say it’s vague, i.e. vague enough for others to interpret it as one thing while being truthful in a different way.
He tried that, remember?
Mr Allen looks like the Grandpa from the movie 'Up'
Nice to see you here Hetfield.
You mean Mr. Fredrickson, I think
@@prankerman2905 Yes Carl Fredrickson
He sort of looks like him
I never noticed until now 🤔
2:46 THAT was priceless.
She probably had a really hard time keeping it together. I bet that part took many takes lmao
whyd they censor that and not ret*rd lol
That scalping part killed me lol 😆
Just the fact that the toupee stuck to the wall got me going
Today it would be cultural appropriation
I agree! Dickh.ead!!!!
😂
25 years later, I remember breathlessly laughing at this, tears in my eyes. Extraordinary.
remember seeing this in theaters, almost the whole movie had everyone rolling.
When he scalps him and does the tribal war cry .
I lose it.
Yep, that helped me cleaned out my lungs from being sick
I love the way he laughs on her right ear😂😂😂😂
2:46 oscar winning performance for keeping a straight face
You kind of see her slightly smirking for a milisecond. But it was near impossible to not laugh at that lol
I imagine she cracked a few times, but they didn't include this scene on the blooper reel, so drat.
Swear the eighties and nineties were the best times to be alive.
what is different now? just curious
@@afshinseraj2000 really everything. Life was more simple and happy.
@@stevenrogers8939 Why is it not any more? making money is harder or people are more vicious? Or social media is more demanding and time consuming.? Or it just doesn't feel right for an unknown reason? These are really my questions
Political Correctness killed comedy. That’s what happened. Cancel Culture lynch mob
@@afshinseraj2000 Movies suck, writers suck, everyone is afraid to to anything that might offend someone in any way. so my take on the comment was, movies were golden back then now all they can do is make crappy woke or female versions of movies from what was amazing in the 80's and 90's. There is no real comedy, creativity or real work ethic in hollywood today.
The best reaction of the movie. The second best is the one in which he messes his haircut up.
0:06 THE REACTION!!!!
reminded me of deadpool :D
Best part... when he laughs directly in her ear like that... just fucking great
She tried to get back at Fletcher by embarrassing him but it back fired cause everyone thought Fletcher was joking except for her hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Thanks for explaining it. couldn't work out what was going on
She was trying to get him fired, yo

jim is my childhood , jim is part of me , the comedian part i cant thank him enough for this piece of personality
Ahhh, back when people could laugh at themselves. Classic ‘90s, producing an equally classic movie.
“The fact that my client has been ridden more than Seattle Slew is irrelevant, your honor!” 😂
Don’t forget when he badgered the witness in court
Yes, roasts and self awareness no longer exist. Absolutely nowhere. Times have changed and all the kids are terrible, again.
@@FFKonoko And, yes, that was exactly the point of the scene: back then everyone loved being roasted. That's exactly the point of the whole scene.
Megalith79 What's Seattle Slew
@@sidhu139 Seattle Slew was a champion race horse. Hence his quip about being “ridden more than” cuz he was a horse. Knowing what it is is what makes this line really funny

this part + the part where he tells the homeless guy how he feels are the 2 funniest parts
Actually I felt pity for the homeless guy
+ elevator lady scene
I liked the part when he gets pulled over by the cop.
yeah

That scalping joke would not fly these days eh heh
The level of his acting is so high😱🤯
When he takes the guys toupee off and sticks it to the wall, I lost it 😂😂
I also lost it at that part
That's when it really killed me !!! 😂😅
When I first saw that, I thought I was going to pass out from a depletion of oxygen to my brain. 😂😂
When he laughs in her face🤣
Okay the wig and the fainting scene really got me
When he puts the wig on the wall 😂
Sllllluuuttttttttt...!!! Man..!! The intensity.
One of Carey's funniest scenes. Writing was on point.
I love Jim Carrey, he was the master of 90's comedy, and the 2000's:
The Mask, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, The Truman Show. The Grinch, Me, Myself and Irene, Bruce Almigty, Yes Man
This is what I call real entertainment and a real comedy actor. Jim Carrey is the ONLY comedy actor that keeps me hooked... nobody else can do that
2:32 - 2:54 Man the laugh at the end gets me every time.
This is propably the funniest movie scene I have ever seen 🤣
The "Beep!" Makes this even better 🤣
Jim Carrey gets away with EVERYTHING.... and the writers let him. It's why we've watched him for 25 years... and why we'll continue to watch.
I grew up watching Jim Carrey movies, this man never fails to make one of us or all of us cheer up
In the 90's:
The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura, The Cable Guy, Liar Liar, The Truman Show
In the 2000's:
The Grinch, Me, Myself and Irene, ASUF, Bruce Almighty, Yes Man, Mr Popper's Penguin's
Wow...so hilarious...no one does it like Jim😂😂😂
I seen this in theaters OMG
Everyone myself included was Damn
Near on the floor lol.
I bet that was amazing. Too bad there won't be another chance to experience something like that.
I always lose it when he sticks the hair to the wall and laughs right into the lady's face - It's all so over the top and hilarious.
....i mean his boss looks old enough to be fan of cs go so that`s probably the reason he was so chill about it
2:46 is really my favorite part. He's literally just screaming in her face in defiance.
I love the bleeps! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
2:22

I bet it was very hard for her to keep a straight face when he was doing that.
2:35-2:51 definitely the highlights for me 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The ending was just hilarious. The fake laughter needed work but all in all Jim pulled it off.
OMG Back then Movies were Just ...Incredible LMFAO!!
Characters laughing at their own misery.
The laugh in Miranda's face is so good
the 90's were lit with comedy.
The world owes a debt of gratitude to Keenan Ivory Wayans. He gave Carey his first big break.

This is epic scene. It tells in a hilarious way of what those well-dressed lawyers really are under their face masks.
What a great scene- perfection!
I love how fletcher finally collapsed outside knowing full well he dodged a bullet there, lol
This scene has me crying every time.
When he found out Fletcher was being serious Mr. Allen had Mr. Joshua pay him a visit.
